Subnm function makes Excel/Perspectives crash

Post by Arnaud Pecheux »

Dear,

We are currently experiencing a strange issue for one of our users. Whenever he clicks on a subnm formula in Excel or tries to open the subset editor in Perspectives, the subset editor only appears for 1 second with a message saying: "cannot export cube from here". Then the subset editor disappears but Excel does not respond anymore. The only solution is to go to the task manager and kill Excel process.

The crash occurs:
- in Perspective
- in Excel
but not on the web.

To avoid any possible conflicts, we deactivated all add-in but the issue is still there.

Thanks for letting me know how to solve this issue as the user cannot work in TM1 anymore.

Arnaud.

Arnaud please refer to the sticky in this section; http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=251

This is not a bug, its a problem only one user is having. I have moved the thread for you but i suggest you uninstall / reinstall the software on this users machine because it certainly isn't happening for anyone else. If that doesn't work them maybe this user has some security that is unique to them which is causing the problem.
If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator.
