I created a rule with ELPAR parent 1. But, I have alternate hierarchies in the dimension.
The parent that I want is the first when the Sort Order is by hierarchy- It does not work is the users change the sort order.
Is there a way where I can find the right parent always?
PS: I created a TI to put the sort order by hierarchy- My rule works perfectly-
But if I go into the dimension and save it WITHOUT CHANGING the order, my rule that does not work anymore. The parent is different!
it looks like a bug.

Re: ELPAR with Alternate Hierarchies RULE
All elements have an index. You can identify this using dimix. You might want to look in to using this instead. Dimension order is very changable especially if you updating it on a regular basis. I would also look at using something like elisanc,

Re: ELPAR with Alternate Hierarchies RULE
As you've found ELPAR is unreliable when you have multiple hierarchies. The best alternative is to use attributes instead.
