Hi,
I'm having an issue with contributor where I select an approval hierarchy with 1 top level member and Contributor gives me an error telling me that my subset contains more than 1 top level consolidation. It lists the actual top level consolidation and ALL n-level elements (which are not top level) as top level consolidations in the error message.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Dan

Re: TM1 Contributor Error
do you have any orphaned N level elements?

Re: TM1 Contributor Error
No,
I have an alternate hierachy but that is not included in the contributor subset:
Dimension:
Total Revenue
Revenue Stream 1
Revenue SubStream1
Revenue SubStream2
Revenue Stream 2
Revenue SubStream3
...
All GL Codes
Gl Code 1
Revenue Stream 1
...
Contributor Subset:
Total Revenue
Revenue Stream 1
Revenue SubStream1
Revenue SubStream2
Revenue Stream 2
Revenue SubStream3
...
I've just tried deleting the alternate hierarchy from the dimension (All GL Codes) and it now seems to work.
Unfortunately I need this alternate hierarchy as it's used as a rule for a reporting cube...

Re: TM1 Contributor Error
No expert but seem to remember having a similar issue, could it be that an element in your subset has two parents (i.e. belongs to both hierarchies) and that its this that is confusing TM1?
not sure how it will help but at least you'll know what you can and cant use as an approval hierarchy - hopefully a 9.5 expert will jump in and confirm this
if it is the alt hierarchy causing the issue you may need to setup a new dim to handle that - but obviously not knowing your system that maybe a non-starter

Re: TM1 Contributor Error
I think you should be allowed alternative hierarchies in the dimension, as long as the subset created and selected as the approval hierarchy has a single top level parent.
Can someone confirm this? I'm pretty sure I created a test dimension with this setup earlier today and contributor didn't complain.
