Problem copy paste numbers in TM1web

Post by RabbitSlava »

Hello.
I have a problem copy paste numbers in TM1web

1. I copy the float number from Excel
2. Insert into TM1eb
3. The number can not be inserted:
the number of invalid - a comma is replaced by a point
Insert incorrect - should be inserted in 2 columns
4. Getting an error message.

Thank you for your help.

hi there
we had similar issue.

response from IBM
existing defect, PM31582. Details on this defect are as below
ERROR DESCRIPTION:

When server is configured with International numeric formatting (e.g. where a . is used as Thousands Separator and , as Decimal Separator), pasting in TM1Web does not paste the correct value and the number seems to be converted to incorrect value.????There are no problems if the value is typed in manually, OR when cell is double clicked in TM1Web (to go into edit mode) and you paste the numeric value in.??Problems only occur when you copy a value to clipboard, then right click in TM1Web and select "Paste". =--------------------------------------------------------------=LOCAL FIX: You can manually type in the values to input. Similarly/alternatively, you can double click the target cell th at you are trying to paste into (which will effectively select the value currently in the cell) and do CTRL-V to paste the new value over the old one.

but note the above workaround works for a single cell but I cannot do it for multiple cells. We have to get users to change formatting to 'general' without commas, then copy and paste
