Cognos Express 9.5 TM1 to CXMD

Hello,

I've just installed Cognos Express 9.5 for testing. The installation routine installed the folder IBM\Cognos Express\Xcelerator\Custom\TM1Date\CXMD with an empty TM1 data base in it.

After shutting down the IBM Cognos Analytic Server - CXMD Service I replaced that CXMD folder with the TM1 sample database PDATA and renamed it to CXMD again. I also copied the original tm1s.cfg file into the CXMD folder. After launching the the IBM Cognos Analytic Server - CXMD Service I could log in using Architect but launching the Xcelerator form the IBM Cognos Express Manager gave me an error message: "You do not belong to a group. Please see your TM1 administrator", though I'm logged in as an administrator.

So the question is what is the best method to exchange the TM1 data base within Cognos Express?

When copying in the data folder from "Planning Sample" you should have left all the user and group related cubes and dimensions from CX alone (meaning kept them in the folder, not overwriting with the user and group objects from PS).

Well, I copied all the model dimensions, cubes, *.rux, *.xdi and *.pro files into the original CXMD folder and everything seems to work.
