Just wondering - looking at a presentation from some consultants who have written a front end for Board at the second as they're bidding for a contract claiming they're soooo much better than TM1 / SAP / BO / etc (even though they all have different strengths). Going to check up on them online a bit as I have to be honest, I've never come across Board before.
Just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience of the platform?
TIA
Anyone used Board MIT?

Certainly Looks interesting and will play with it, Whats yr opinion so far ?
"BOARD International, the global leader in the Business Intelligence (BI) and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) toolkit space, announces that it has been positioned in the Gartner 2011 Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms.*
The Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms presents a global view of Gartner's opinion of software vendors that should be considered by organizations seeking to use business intelligence (BI) platforms applications.
The research evaluates vendors by their completeness of vision and ability to execute on that vision.
BOARD was one of 20 platforms evaluated in the report worldwide.
According to the report “Gartner's view is that the market for BI platforms will remain one of the fastest growing software markets despite sluggish economic growth in most regions. Organizations continue to turn to BI as a vital tool for smarter, more agile and efficient business. According to Gartner’s annual survey of CIO technologies priorities, BI remained among the top five priorities in 2009â€
“In a market where we see more and more customers disillusioned with the solutions they are using and frustrated by the integration problems they are experiencing, we believe Gartner’s recognition reflects our capability to successfully help more than 2000 International organizations manage and control the entire decision-making process: from data collection to information analysis; from goal-setting to decision-making; from operational execution, to results monitoring.†comments Giovanni Grossi, BOARD CEO “Unlike other competitors we seamlessly unify BI and CPM in a single product, combining Advanced Office Integration, Interactive Visualization, Self-Service Reporting and Analysis with a great ease of use for both final users and developers â€
“BOARD continues to build momentum, with an above average growth in the BI market and our customers are more and more satisfied with the latest innovations†points out Andrea Alfieri, BOARD Head of Marketing “It’s not by chance that even in such a tough year as 2010 we maintained a double digit growth for the sixth time in a rowâ€."

Yyyyeah. That's one way of viewing the "Magic Quadrant". Michel Zijlema previously provided a relevant link explaining it quite well, IMHO.afshin wrote:Certainly Looks interesting and will play with it, Whats yr opinion so far ?

I have to admit that if Gartner endorses something, my scepticism needle swings the other way by about 80 degrees. I'm not saying that I wouldn't use something recommended by them, but I'd take some extra convincing.
"To them, equipment failure is terrifying. To me, it’s 'Tuesday.' "
