TM1.XLA and CXL.XLA on same excel workbook

Hi All

We are archiving some of our old data cubes but still need them active for reference by users. We have decided though, that it is significantly more cost effective to do this using Cognos Express Xcelerator rather than put another TM1 instance in place.

As a result we need to be able to allow users to continue having access to our current production TM1 environment, by having the tm1.xla installed, but I wanted to know if

a) there would be any conflicts in also installing a cxl.xla to allow connection to the Cognos Express Xcelerator cubes, or
b) is there a way I can continue using the same tm1.xla to connect to both ?

This may be a topical question as the tm1 price list seems to have gone out of the window recently !
