I'm having trouble setting up CAM security for Xcelerator. Is there any way to switch off CAM as my client is not planning to use any of the other Cognos Express products and would like to manage users/ groups within TM1.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Re: Cognos Express Xcelerator Native Security
Just set security mode to 2 in the tm1s.cfg file
If you are only planning on using TM1 then no issue with going with another server name other than CXMD and putting the data and logging directories in a more sensible location also!

Re: Cognos Express Xcelerator Native Security
I have tried this. Setting the Security Mode to 1 or 2 allows users to log in using Native Security, but if I then try to add clients/ groups, rather than adding clients and groups within TM1, I am prompted to log into CAM and manage from the Express web-based client.

Re: Cognos Express Xcelerator Native Security
The client tm1p.ini file needs to have the following line:
AllowImportCAMClients = F
Then Native Security (Client and Group management) will work.
Special thanks to Herman for pointing this out.
