Hi,
I think I saw this come by in the forum some time ago, but I wasn't able to find the thread...
Last week I was investigating the RAM usage in a TM1 model and found that there is was a huge discrepantion between the sum of the cubes sizes in the TM1 Server Explorer properties window and the Windows Task Manager process tab.
When looking at the (TM1 9.5.0) SE properties window the sum of all cubes (except for the control cubes as 9.5.0 refuses to show these) added up to around 8 Gb (the physical amount of RAM of the server...), while looking at the Windows (2003) Task Manager Processes tab the tm1s.exe process indicated a total RAM usage of about 1 Gb. The TM1 version is 64 bit and runs on a non-VM dedicated machine.
Has anyone seen this before and knows what's causing this discrepancy. A usage of 8 Gb seems a bit high (given the physical amount of RAM available), while 1 Gb seems way too low (as running the model on a 'tuned' 32 bit VM indicates a use of just over 2 Gb).

Re: TM1 RAM usage measurement discrepantion
That was me. But it was the opposite of what you've got - Windows Explorer said 16GB when TM1 claimed to only be using about 5GB.
I've kicked my old feeders to the curb which has made the problem go away, but it hasn't explained the reason for the problem. If I can replicate it reliably then I might send it off to IBM, but I'm also wondering if it might be the virtual server's fault. It's not important enough for me to spend a couple of days on though, which is how long I think it'll take to figure out.

Re: TM1 RAM usage measurement discrepantion
Thanks Martin,
This is a strange phenomenon, but I'm leaving this rest for now.
