Cognos Enterprise Planning had the 'Get Data' function with quickload which the user could use to upload the excel sheet directly into Contributor, provided the excel sheet looked similar to the cube.
In TM1 Contributor 9.5.1 how can you achieve similar functionality?
Thanks.

There's copy and paste. Or DBS directly from the Excel spreadsheet into TM1. Or Alan's paste-over-dbrw tool in the TM1 tools add-in.
There's no special way to get data from Excel to TM1 Contributor because it would be much easier to use the Excel add-in to go directly from Excel to TM1.

By far the easiest is simply copy the range in Excel and then paste to the cube view in TM1 Contributor (or TM1web).

I think this is OK for occasional ad-hoc stuff but, if I were an end-user, I would not do this on a regular basis without complaining.lotsaram wrote:By far the easiest is simply copy the range in Excel and then paste to the cube view in TM1 Contributor (or TM1web).
As other posters have pointed out, for this sort of functionality probably best to consider the more traditional TM1 approach using Excel with DBS\DBSW's
How will you be using this functionality and is there a particular reason you want to use the Contributor front-end?
