Is it possible to rename the admin host?

Post by ParisHilton »

We've got two TM1 boxes at the moment

a development bot with an admin server creatively called TM1
and a production box with an admin server called TM1prod

We'd like to rename the development box to TM1Dev. Is it possible to rename the TM1 admin server? I can't see any settings in tm1admsrv.ini nor find any documentation on it other than the SSL related stuff.

The admin server name is inherited from DNS, or machine name, of the box the admin host program is running on. If you change that then the admin host will automatically change.

Strange. We've renamed the machine, but the admin host hasn't changed.
I'll try some restarts and ask the network guys to look at DNS.

Thanks for the help !

Doh.
Serious blonde moment.

The 'root' node in architect always says Tm1, regardless of the admin host
