Hi,
I want to run the excel add in on the 64 bit box the server is running on. I thought it would just be a case of installing office and Tm1 and away you go...
But I'm getting a "64-bit Windows not supported" when I launch the client. (v903U9)
If you do the 64 bit install though you only get the server software, so am I right in assuming you can not run the client in the 64 bit world or am I missing something?
Cheers,
TM1 add in on 64 bit box

Re: TM1 add in on 64 bit box
You error message seems strange and one I haven't seen before. You can definitely run Client/ Perspectives/ Architect on a 64-bit box - it runs in 32-bit emulation mode. I have had this working from 9.0SPsomething right up to 9.5.
I cannot think of an exception to my normal routine - install the server bits from the x64 install package and the client bits from the x32 install package. The default install differs between releases so I always do a 'custom' and explicity select the bits I want. E.g. TM1 Web runs in x64 mode in some later releases. However, Perspectives and Architect are still x32 and you just need to run the x32 installer and select the client items only.
If you did all that then I would hang my head in sympathy and predict grievous server nonsense.
HTH.

Re: TM1 add in on 64 bit box
Is there anything I have to do to activate 32-bit emulation mode?
I was hoping it was something obvious that I just didn't know about as I had not done it before...

Not in Windows Server 2003 - it should 'just work' when you run the 32-bit install packageIs there anything I have to do to activate 32-bit emulation mode?
