Hello everybody,
in a report I use DIMNM function with a subset in order to use just a part of the element present in that dimension.
Anyway when the selection screen appears (Subset Editor) if you press "All", all the element appear...
I would like to fix the subset in order to forbid to users to expand the selection.
Is there an option to do it?
Thanks in Advance for you help.
Nicola

Re: Subset fix
Hi Nicola,
It is not possible to change this 'show all' behaviour.
If you want to restrict the available elements you can (should) use dimension element security.
Another option could be to create a seperate dimension which only contains the elements that are in the subset. With this construct the cube will still contain the full dimension, but the SUBNM formula can refer to the 'subset copy' of the dimension. This way, if the end user clicks on the 'All' button (s)he will only see the elements available in this restricted copy of the dimension.
