It's a rackmount which will take up to _192gig_ of ram (OK, for a silly price). From the marketing stuff I believe it is intended for running lots of VMs. But with a pair of the top CPUs, 64 gig ram and a terabyte disc you get away with 6K GBP.

One irritating aspect is that the box will go to 72 gig of slower ram for slightly less £ but then you need Server2008 which TM1 doesn't yet support (though it works fine for us, at least on 32 bit). Trying to work out whether to buck the issue or just upgrade later.
I suppose I should look at IBM hardware as well...
