Excel Formula just read value without xml setting changes

Post by HighKeys »

Hello friends,

as i can read here every formula can write back in the cubes

https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... rview.html

In some sheets i just need to read the value and dont wanna write back (i have to change the formular to hardvalues cause i send the report out), but in other i want to write back directly in the cube, so i dont want to change my config evertime.

Is there an way that fits my needs?

thanks and BR

A long shot maybe, but in Perspectives/Architect you can right-click a websheet > Properties > uncheck "Allow Cell Write Back from Web" ? Does this help ? See the 2nd point with item 7 on this page: http://www.wimgielis.com/tm1_cellchange_EN.htm

Hello,

Thanks, the websheet is really nice for that!

BTW if someone searching the same later, if you Disable Events you can write in the cell without writeback :)
