Hi Expert,
I created a Workspace book in a TM1 instance. I need to copy the book (definition) into a new instance.
I obviously can copy, Pax reports, Excel, Views etc.. But not the definition of the Book.
I asked IBM and ..... they referred me to any blog I was part of....??
I am hoping someone has already needed this.
Thanks

Re: Copy Workspace BOOK
If you are an admin in workspace you should have access to the “Lifecycle Management Tool”; this allows you to transfer workspace books between environments.
If you have a really old version of workspace local it might not be there but I think it’s been around for well over a year now.

Re: Copy Workspace BOOK
Hi Experts,
I had posted this thread and received very good information about copying my workspace.
I indeed copy a backup and I have files with .gz extensions.
Now I need to 'restore' one of my backups into a different environment.
I can see there is something called import.
It says: Imported. But I dont know what to do, to see it in my workspace.
It says Imported to Default. I dont really see the next step!

Re: Copy Workspace BOOK
Hi, The buttons are not that clear.
Import - means load the .gz into the Lifecycle Management environment.
Migrate - means place the objects that I have imported into the PAW environment I have selected. At this point you will be asked for a folder name. Once the objects are migrated they will appear in the folder inside your personal folder, at which point you can move them to the desired location.
Cheers
