Planning Analytics - TM1 - Security

Post by Peter Picazio »

We have TM1 installed on Planning Analytics 2.0
I created a new security group with access on a dimension restricted to Read Only for 6 element members within the dimension. All of the other elements (including Parents) within this dimension have None access for the security group. The user who I added to that group is able to see all members in the dimension, not just the 6 that i gave read access to.

Why wouldn't access be restricted on this dimension for the specific security group that this person is assigned to?

How many other groups is the user in? What kind of access do those groups have to the dimension?

With all due respect, this categorically can't be the case. TM1 security is cumulative so the rights to the elements must be coming from another group the user belongs to.
