Preventing Users from PAW-not PAX

Post by My24 »

Hi all,

We have PM license in our customer, so we can use PAX, but not PAW for users.
To prevent license violation, we try to prevent PAW login of users while they are able to use PAX at the same time.
Is there a way to do that?

Thanks.

Take a look at the PAW config parameter "ENABLE_USER_IMPORT". When that parameter is set to false, users are not automatically added to the PAW user list should they inadvertently log into PAW. If they're not on the user list of PAW, they cannot log into PAW. We did this in our setup because we had fewer PAW licenses than basic TM1 licenses and wanted to initially control who could log into PAW. This will not affect end users ability to use PAX. Restarting PAW is necessary after changing this parameter.
