Consolidation of Elements

Post by CTM1K »

Hi Guys,

my Company just recently started the Integration of IBM TM1 into our daily Business.
As I'm not as fimilar as I would like to be of the specific Language, I hope you can help me with my issue.

Basicaly I want to have a Dimension in which I'm able to consolidate different Country Codes.
For example:

EMEA as the top Header of the Consolidated Countries and then splitted as follows:

+EMEA
+DACH
-GERMANY
-AUSTRIA
-SWITZERLAND
+Region2
-Country Region2
-Country Region2
.....

I want to be able to drill down into a Country if necessary but to able to build a Consolidated Hierachy.

Whats the Processes I Need to create and which codes I can/have to apply?
Much appreciate your help!
Have a nice weekend

Hi

If it just a few elements, use the Dimension Editor

If there are more elements than that, define the hierarchy in Parent-Child format and save as a CSV file, then import it using a Turbo Integrator (TI) Process. You don't need any coding the wizard in TI will guide you through that. Make the Child the Element, and the Parent the Consolidation. Set the Weight to 1.

I suggest you read through the manuals.
