Active forms

Post by Neelutm1 »

HI Team,
I am bit new to tm1, very limited knowledge on active forms.
I have a question on Action button, In one of the application, the action button link is not working either on web or on perspectives.
Can any one know what could be the issue. The action button is supposed to run a TI using the parameters specified.
The process is working fine if it kicked off seperately and not being called by the active form which suggests there is no issues with the process.

Thansk in advance.

Regards,
Neelima

Action buttons can sometimes been a little temperamental, best bet is jut to set it up again (via right click, properties).

For example they can't cope with changes to sheet names if you have referenced cells on the worksheet.

It also depends on how you set supply the value to the parameters of the TI process.

Usually, I use named ranges in Excel files, like pYear, pMonth, pScenario, pVersion, pCompany, ...
Or, if using cell references (less preferred), I use:

=C5
=C6
=C7

for cells C5, C6, C7.

So I do not use sheet names. This works fine. However, in a 10.2.2 FP3 version (which could match your setup), I noticed issues with that.
Recreating the button with the standard way of selecting the cell using the button that is designed for this task, works. But we end up with something like:

='SheetName'!$C$5

which will fail if someone decides to change the sheet name.
