Post by mincharug.shulft »

Hi All:

I have installed the AWS workspace recently and then installed the TM1 perspectives 64 bit client component. I can see the list of my TM1 servers in the perspectives but when I click on the server and it is not connecting. when I click on the server it showing that loading and disappearing it. I tried all the IBM suggestions but didnot work nothing.

As your on 10.2.2 I would say either

a group policy is blocking the outdated cipher suite protocols that are used in 10.2.2

Or the IBM certificates are the original (expired ones). Any 10.2.2 install requires the certificates being updated after installation.

HI burnstripe, After perspective 64-bit installed, I couldn't see the TM1 servers. so, I need to copy over the SSL certificate files (below listed) and past it in bin64 directory and then I can see the TM1 servers in the perspectives. but I couldnot able to connect as per my initial thread

Hi Wim Gielis, Customer is planning to migrate to higher version in next year.

by the way I could able to findout issue. it is SSL issue that I need to update SSL then it worked. but I am getting different issue now:
My AWS is windows 10 and Excel version 2008/Office 365 and I installed the perspectives 64-bit (TM1 10.2.2). while opening my TM1 reports (VBA code/macros) for testing/input numbers then it is showing that incompatible (attached error). My question is, 32-bit perspectives would it support? Is there anyone come across similar issue?

I am fairly certain Excel 2008 didn’t have a 64-bit option.
You can only use 64-bit perspectives with 64-bit Excel.
So yes you will need to uninstall the 64-bit and then install the 32-bit version, or get a newer 64-bit Excel.
