Re: 32 bit install on 64 bit server
Hmmm interesting. We regularly hit our memory limit despite the 3gb switch and archiving data. Can't go to 64 bit yet mainly due to the cost of the license and tight purse strings at this time of year. Will investigate that for sure with our ops guys, might even let them virtualise the server if the...

Re: One of those two days every year...
Ah I have the luxury of another 2 weeks before BST ends and I have to do this. Luckily I've migrated most of the chores to the windows scheduler which is a bit more savvy when it comes to Daylight Savings Time, thankfully, so only a few to do for me.

Re: The Sound Of No Hands Clapping
Many thanks Alan/Bihints for that. Still undecided, as the morning looks like Cognos braindeath followed by some TM1 stuff in the afternoon.
Best thing about that document, the directions
You don't get random naming like that in many places other than the UK

Re: The Sound Of No Hands Clapping
Had the invite to the UK one yesterday, but the link on it to find out what they are doing keeps timing out! http://now.eloqua.com/e/er.aspx?s=319&lid=2813&elq=9E5A054D62EA4794A7791DABA79C72DC Trying to figure out if it looks worth going to. The Performance 2008 TM1 Customer Roadshow News of...

FAO John H
Hi John, We've finally got round to updating our product viewer, and have a new source of biscuit pics. I remember from the old forum you wrote a nifty little excel spreadsheet that combined these well. I've found the old post http://applixforum.olapforums.com/viewPost.php?threadID=12313&searchT...

We used it on 8.4.3 for sure, never went to 8.4.2 though.

Re: TM1 Runtime Error 429
Erm I did answer this on the old forum, and infact got it again yesterday. You need to register a tm1 dll, but I can't remember which one :) If you are still having probs tomorrow when I'm back in work I'll dig out the answer. We do need access to the old forum, so much useful stuff on there, hope t...

Re: CellPutProportionalSpread
Well I've managed to get this working quite nicely now, down from 92 mins (cancelled) - 20 minutes - 2 1/2 minutes, which is completely adequate :) What really sped it up was the removal of the two data loops, one to loop through products/customers/periods to get the base data, then another loop to ...

Re: CellPutProportionalSpread
Ta Steve, not really figured out MDX yet, despite using tm1 for over 3 years :) Guess I generally stick to what I know works. Anyway, I've had another thought, the Trading cube that I am getting the data off is quite large ~800mb and I am hitting it a lot of times with reads, think the performance w...

Re: CellPutProportionalSpread
Thanks Paul, thats pretty much what I'm trying to do. I finally managed to work out the logic on Friday and have it running, it's just not very efficient at the minute, and I had to kill the last attempt after 30 minutes :) What I have set up in a mapping field is a group I want each line to map to....

CellPutProportionalSpread
Hi all, Haven't had to ask any questions for quite a while, but am doing some extensive spreading for the first time in a while. What I'm trying to do is build up a Customer and Product Profitability cube, which extends our normal trading P&L (normally goes to TCAM - Total Contribution After Mar...

Re: Using 9.1
8.4.5 still, though we did try the beta of 9.1 and infact installed it on one of our servers. Had to go back bloody quickly though. The alias key-err problem and everyone locking everyone else from doing anything at all made us a very unpopular department for a short time. No plans to go any further...

Good luck with that Gary. I can't believe you haven't found anyone yet. I've actually contemplated it a few times but the salary differential isn't quite there for me and my role at Burtons is about to change for the better soon.
