Re: How to Create Ragged/Unbalanced Hierarchy in TM1 Architect
When you open the subset editor to view your dimension. It is good practice to select All elements and then to select Hierarchy Sort. This ensures you are viewing the dimension in it's entirety and in the defined order. To resolve the initial view of the dimension you can employ DIMENSIONSORTORDER i...

Re: 'OldCubeLogChanges'
OldCubeLogChanges is a variable generated by TM1 as part of the wizard, this is why you see it in the generated statements section. The wider context is around what needs to be logged and when, it is worth reading through the Operations Guide >System and Performance Monitoring > Logging Transactions...

Re: Error: Prolog procedure line (0): Unable to open data source
I would advise that you talk to someone with knowledge of your implementation as to what the process is. Do you have an administrator/ project manager/ developer you can access to discuss this issue with? It would appear that the data source/ locations for your processes have been removed/ moved/ am...

Re: Instance crash after turning on Performance Monitor
Does Performance Monitor crash the server every time it is run? If so, then it could well be a hardware issue than a Cognos TM1 issueMost importantly, are there a set of steps that cause the fault to repeat?

Re: Instance crash after turning on Performance Monitor
I'd check the Event Log first to see if anything of interest occurred around the time of the crash and if anything is in the application error Then I'd check the tm1server.log file for anything of interest around the crash time Then tm1s.log at the time of the crash If these turn up nothing then I'd...

What is the requirement of the process?
Is it to load data? If it is to load data what is the data source the data is to be loaded from?

Re: Error: Prolog procedure line (0): Unable to open data source
Are you sure you want to be loading from a .blb file? The typical checks I follow to diagnose a "Unable to open data source error" are: - Check user account running TM1 Service account has access to the folder/ file in question - Check file is not already open by a user - Check file exists...

Re: Cube Size
Cube performance may not always be to do with Feeders and as Jim suggests, context is useful. Without context I'd advise you reduce the number of dimensions to improve performance... Some reading that may or may not be of use https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cognos+tm1+performance+improvements&...

Re: Process does not update updateable cell
Is this a last values wins scenario? If you know there are target cells that are not updating, then you can ASCIIOUTPUT/ TEXTOUTPUT for those cells only and check if they are being written/ overwritten/ being targeted as required Has the code in the processes changed? Does the data source change? Ha...
