Re: 9.4MR1 FP3 Slice/Active form + Drill through

Lotsaram, Funny your question is the same as the IBM support :) ( But i hope there would have an option for me in terms of hotfix or other alternative...). I cannot go to 9.5 due to budget limitation... IBM let us migrate to 9.4 while keeping our licencing schema ( not named licences...). Difficult ...

Re: Anaplan ?

I am going to review their videos and other demo this week end to try to get a high level understanding around it...
The advertised time to market for apps and the orientation towards business users sounds seducing...

Will post my findings :)

9.4MR1 FP3 Slice/Active form + Drill through

Hi All, I am continuing the review of Tm1 9.4mr1 + fp3 features prior to use it in Production.... I created a drill through process between two cubes ( reporting back to staging cube). Using the 9.4 client ( updated to HotFix 7) - From the cube viewer or Tm1 web it just behave as expected, drilling ...

Re: Problem installing 9.4 FP2 for Tm1 Web server

Hi All,

FYI,
Install FP3 directly on top of 9.4MR1 Tm1 web install + Tm1 client did the trick.

All fine now.

Thanks again Michel for pointing that out.

Re: Problem installing 9.4 FP2 for Tm1 Web server

Hi Michel, Thanks for that reminder, I still don't quite understand what would prevent FP2 to come on top of FP1 a it is documented as beeing a possible upgrade as well... Upgrading to TM1 9.4.1 FP2 Requires 9.4.1 or 9.4.1 FP1 to be Installed You must have TM1 9.4.1 or TM1 9.4.1 FP1 installed before...

Re: error handling of SubsetCreateByMDX when 0 elements retu

The only way i can think of would be to test earlier in the process on the components of the mdx statement. In some cases you migth find more reliable to build dynamicaly the subset without using mdx as well. ( i.e. using a loop to collect elements and then test on subset size at the end). Not sure ...

Re: Slice Buttons

 That would be a really good improvement of the cube viewer !!! I had to prepare training lately and i find it is difficult for users/analysts to remember these kind of secondary options/settings... Some of my users always slice in the same workbook since they changed the setting once after as...

Re: Missing title elements in a view, TM1 9.5 and up

Quick update, I noticed that the bug does not reproduce when exploring the cubes/views from a perspective client installed on another machine then the tm1 server itself. So the bug might not be a show stopper as we barely use the server explorer from the server box itself. I had some feedback that t...

Re: Missing title elements in a view, TM1 9.5 and up

Ho ho ho,

I cannot locate the .exd files that are mentioned in earlier posts...
Does anyone have an idea where to find these ?

Otherwise it sounds like it s time to send a letter to IBM support Santa :)

Kind Regards,
Olivier

Hi everybody, The question was raised to IBM and the following answer was provided. As promised, I followed on up this query of yours overnight, I went to development as I have not actually heard of this parameter before. Unfortunately, they had not either, this is the response I got back from them:...

Re: C8-reporting on a TM1-cube

Hi Toto, Interresting question, I have to think about interraction between TM1 and Cognos 8 as well. I have not done a very in depth exploration at this stage but i had a look at the interfacing capability quickly. There is definetly a specific interraction between Cognos and Tm1 regarding hierarchi...

Are you sure the file extension is ".xdi" precisely ? There is another extension for recovery file generated automaticaly, i don't remember the details of it (xid, idx...) but that might be what the issue is ? Unfortunatly, all i remember is beeing confused by something similar in the past...
