Re: Problem with TM1 Dimensions

I should add I didn't design this, it was done by an external consultancy. Tom, I know what you mean. We are currently talking to 3 companies who have been left with rubbish TM1 systems designed by so-called consultancies who have no practical experience of TM1 and\or who out source the dev to thir...

Re: How to create Dimension thru Text file using PM

Please start liking PM because we will not get TM1 Architect and TM1 Perspectives in next versions of TM1. Your post implies Perpectives and Architect will be discarded in next version. I guess English is not your first language so you may not have meant it to come across that way, but it could mis...

Citrix Versions with Cognos Express and TM1

We are talking to a potential customer who has queried support for TM1\Cognos Express under Citrix. Specifically they have asked about support under Citrix XenApp Ver 6.5 ( I think this is the latest version) A lot of our customers have been using Citrix sucessfully for many years but, as yet we hav...

Re: Consolidation in an intercube rule? Express 10.1

Mr J From a technical viewpoint I suggest you accept what tomok is saying. He is a very (very, very....) experienced TM1 consultant. Summarising by attribute is a feature I have used in another tool (Express,no not the IBM one) and it was very useful. I have heard rumours that it may be coming in fu...

Re: Cognos Express

What are your thoughts about Express? Cheap TM1 with more complicated install\user admin and cut down BI reporting (I flunked the IBM copyrighting course ;-0 ). What are you using it for? Provided you are under user limit (total 100 users of which max 50 can be read\write contributors) and PVU limi...

Re: Active forms/Excel Reports in TM1 web formatting issues

We have recently migrated the Active forms/Excel reports from 9.5.2 to 9.5.1 TM1 web. ...They are mis placing the images/check boxes Naree , See my other reply about 9.5.1 TM1 Web. http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9656 I am pretty sure there were issues with graphics in 9.5 and\or 9....

Re: TM1 9.5.1

When i open the report in TM1 web it was showing 1st page logo only and remaining all are showing blank(white space) Venkat, I am pretty sure this was a bug in earlier versions of 9.5 and 9.5.1. If you had a logo on the first page, logos on other pages didn't show, or the original logo got repeated...

Hi read you reply. If you have answers to the below mentioned questions. There will be no argument on this. What do those questions have to do with the legacy TM1 workflow? Perhaps you can tell the forum what you are doing with the legacy workflow and why the new Application ( aka Contributor) based...

Re: No LEGACY TM1 workFlow in 10.2

I am sure they will start supporting TM1 workflow in 10.3 release... Because there is no future of TM1 without workflow. Ultimately it will end up as Cognos EP is closed. TM1 survived very sucessfully for many years with very few implementations of the legacy TM1 workflow. Workflow functionality wa...

Re: Cognos TM1

I want to migrate the cognos cube to microsoft analysis service. what are the basic objects i need to gather from cognos tm1 server. You need to gather the cubes, dimensions, hierarchies and a few other things. But why would you want to that anyway? TM1 is much, much better than Analysis services. ...

There was one; it was released in January 2005. I can send you a copy of the release notes if you like, for this was back in the days when there were release notes. ;) I checked our old "version update" and have the notes on 8.3 ( headed "Interim release") before they released t...

Re: Does Express 10.2.1 supports MTQ (Multi-Threaded Query)

Enterprise and CX have the same TM1 engine...the major difference is in the licensing perspective....CX under 100 users. Under new 10.2 licensing there is also a max limit of 50 users for (effectively ) read write access, Performance Management users I think they are called. So you could have - 100...

Hi There, Users would like to get a contributor/Planner layout more user-friendly, but it seems really impossible to change the formating of the web view (like Border or cell color). Any idea ? Contributor is a pretty basic interface(probably to avoid exciting former COgnos Planning users!). Why no...

Re: Is it better having TM1 on cloud?

The strategy according to him is TM1 in the cloud is to be seen that TM1 can be deployed in the cloud. This is to protect it against the likes of SAP and host analytics which are increasingly getting a large share of the pie. I agree with this but only partly. As others have pointed out it is alrea...
