Re: Rules with virtual hierarchies

Hi, I think the first issue is that it isn't a one to one relationship. I.e. you have multiple products with the same category. So how do you know which product value you need to retrieve? ps you might want to be a bit more specific about the exact issue you are getting, is the value unexpected or i...

Hi,

Not sure about PAW but I think in PAX you can Save to Server, as opposed the Content Store.

Re: Creating views for the data source to a TI process in PAW

Hi,

Your title simply says a TI process in PAW, but the view doesn't have to be MDX does it? I presume you can create processes in PAW that behave the same way as cube view data sources in architect? I.e. not using ViewCreateByMDX

Re: Creating views for the data source to a TI process in PAW

Hi,

I only ever create views using TM1 cube views, not by MDX. Therefore, the title does not say it all, as it should have included MDX in the title!

I may find this very useful if I ever need to use MDX views as a data source. I will report back if that ever happens!

Hi,

Do you have any cube or dimension security rules on the model?

Re: Need help on this MDX

Hi, the use of .properties is not really optional as it is the only syntax that will be acceptable in the next gen TM1 server. So learn it and stick with it would be my advice. BTW, I think Lotsaram was correct, you didn't give anywhere near enough info in your first comment. Have you tried putting ...

Re: Data Source cube view optimization in TI

Hi, I think others have covered everything, I just would have liked a bit more information. Presume there is a viewzerout of the target cube on the prolog also? Have you tested' how much of the 80% this takes up? If a user updates a single piece of data and then runs the reporting cube update, does ...

Re: TI Variables wrongly assigned in PAW

Hi, as I said in my first reply, you create the view in the process, but don't make it a temporary view, You run the process to create the view, then go to the data source section and set this view as your source. Then update your code to make the view temporary and update the meta and data tabs as ...

Re: TI Variables wrongly assigned in PAW

Hi, You already told us all that in your first comment. The key is how did you build the random view? What I am saying, try using the view you create in the prolog as the datasource of your view, instead of the random view. Set the variables, and then update the rest of the process, i.e. meta and da...

Re: TI Variables wrongly assigned in PAW

Hi, Not sure about your issue, I do know that there are some posts on here about MDX views creating variable issues when used as a source in a TI. If this is a bug then it is a concerning one, no doubt about that. I will be honest, I still use Architect for stuff like this. I tend to build the view ...

Re: Prop. Spread on calculated C-Element

Hi,

I obviously don't understand the real nature of this problem, but going back to the original query, if I proportionally spread to the right on REQ, ZE-9999 then it works ok.

If I leave the spread to the right box unchecked then it shows the conflict rules error.

Hi,

Is it or me or wasn't there a fairly recent forum topic on this issue?

If so, might be an idea to tag this to that topic.

If not, I really need better dreams!

Re: Feeders evaluation

Should all feeders (in large cubes) be written as specifically as possible even though nothing is fed because of 0 values?
I would hope not or that would incur some extra admin resource if feeders needed to be updated, for example to account for a new years data!

Hi,

I presume the issue is with the Dash being at the end of the name, if it was stuck somewhere in the middle, such as This - is Dash it would be ok?

Re: rule line error runtime error :circular reference, evaluation stack

Hi, Bit puzzled why the REF_BENCHMARK ATTRS for D_PRICING_GROUPE_PRIX_RELATION would be asking if it was equal to itself? If you removed that ATTRS does it work then? Other than that not enough information to provide an answer and as others have already said, not something anyone has time for really...

Re: rule line error runtime error :circular reference, evaluation stack

Hi, as the others have said this is a painstaking find and fix problem. One other thing I will mention, I am pretty sure that I have seen in the past too many continue statements causing similar problems. So if you get really stuck after a painstaking trawl through the rules, you might want to look ...
