Do we need feeders
Hi All, We are having a cube with four dimensions. Rule: ['elem1','elem2']=N: IF(DB('Cube1',!dim1,!dim2,!dim3,'element')@<>'Y',0,1); There is a feeder written in existing code, but my feeling is "do we really need to write feeder for above rule?" Can someone please share info regarding fee...

Re: Integrated Login for PerfMod, Insight & CAFE
When you say integrated login I am considering it as same user name used for windows login. Scenario1: Step1: Logging into System using username: User1. Step2: Use same username: User1 for application you are trying to connect. I am taking IE browser where you can check for Integrated login IE --> T...

Re: Integrated Login for PerfMod, Insight & CAFE
Hi RJ,
Is your integrated login enabled in browser?
If integrated login is enabled, Are you using the same user name as used for windows authentication?

Re: how to set current user in TI process?
I still want the process to deal with data of division A only according to its premission, because the process is common for all staffs. Hi Chris, You need that Staff A should be able to access only it's division A via process. Correct me if my understanding is wrong. If what I understood is correc...

Re: Reasons for delay in Building cube
You change a feeder rule and save it a) If PersistentFeeders is turned on, your pre-existing .feeder files still contain the prior feeding information, the new feeder flags are added to the file on top, which now contains 2 (or more) versions of feeding (potentially overfeeding). I might have to ge...

Re: TM1 rule-Consolidation and N level
Yes, you can use the DB function to reference the cube that you are writing a rule for, it's not exclusive to referencing other cubes. Thanks I will try this and come back. Hi Jack, The TM1 rules guide says you can use DB function on the same cube when you are refrencing the string element,As per y...

Re: Reasons for delay in Building cube
Best practice is to delete them all, the server startup will look for inconsistencies anyway. My personal preference is to have PF turned off during feeder development, so a simply unload of the cube can clear the pre-existing feeders and then saving the updated rule, which fires the feeders again....

Say Group average=10 and also I want that 10 to beassigned to leaf level elements for group average. ['Group Average']=C:['Kgs']\['Metres']; say this is 10 ['Group Average'...

V1 is a variable.mincharug.shulft wrote:Does any one has any idea? can it be done in TI?
#Below statement will get rid off the $ symbol.
Var=SUBST(V1,2,long(V1));
Next convert your string into number
Var2=StringToNumber(Var);
hope after this you can help out yourself.

One more question, Why the delete option is disabled for control objects any idea?
Is it because those are the auto-generated?

Deleting control object
Hi All,
When we create a pick list for cube it will be generated as a contol cube.
We can remove }cube_name.cub from Data Directory to delete that.
Is there any other way for deleting control object?

Deepak Jain

TM1 server status during start
Hi All,
Are we having anyway to check the status of TM1 instance when the server is starting up?
We can see the details in TM1 server log, but when we open it the latest updates will not be available, right?

Deepak Jain
