In fact, I have everything on my computer (server and client), which is a 32 bits machine.
So I installed the 32 bits TM1 9.5.2 package. Shouldn't it install the client as well?
Thank you

9.5.2 FP1 installation
Hi, When installing FP1 on my computer, I can see server upgrade (TM1S.exe properties is now 9.5.20100.18049 versus 9.5.20000.11857 without FP1), but I can not see any upgrade on the client side. The "Help--> About Perspectives" in Server Explorer gives me 9.5.2. Tm1version.txt file in App...

managing tm1p.ini with two TM1 applications
Hi, We currently have some users using a TM1 application under Citrix, with TM1 version 9.4.1. We are going to implement a new TM1 application, with TM1 version 9.5.2. The access to the new application is done through different Citrix servers. So it is not a problem to have two different versions. (...

Re: Excel TM1 Undo Level
Hi, I've just gone through your post, searching for answers to another question... I met exactly the same "problem" a year ago. IBM said it is not a bug, and gave me the following explanation: "The macros of the TM1 Excel Add-In (bin/tm1p.xla) do intercept events in Excel, and for som...

Re: RAM difference between cube and instance
The largest contributor to garbage memory is redundant processing of feeders at server startup, particularly when using multi-threaded load. At server startup, I have no problem. Memory in Garbage is very small. And I don't use multi-threaded load. My problems appear when I run my processes during ...

Re: Feeders when stetting out rules
Hi,
I think you have to limit your feeders. Otherwise you will increase your memory used uselessly.
Let's say that when I met the same problem in the past, I did it

Re: RAM difference between cube and instance
You're right about the garbage memory. If I turn on Performance Monitor, I get the following measures: Memory Used : 29 594 Mo Memory in Garbage : 13 403 Mo TM1 operations guide defines Memory in Garbage this way: "TM1 does not release memory back to the operating system while the TM1 server is...

RAM difference between cube and instance
Hi, I have an instance where the main cube takes 15 356 Mo in RAM when I have a look at the size in Perspectives Server Explorer. (The following biggest cube takes only 26 Mo in RAM.) When I have a look at the RAM taken by the instance directly on the server, in the Task Manager or in the Process Ex...

I don't agree with you. A save data does not clear the cache if there is no entry in the cube.lotsaram wrote:note a save data will also clear the cache and require rebuilding views.

Re: Where clause in MDX statement
@lotsa, Catherine's using ODBO, so there's no 'file' to find an EOF in. But I did see her post which said performance was poor, reading - maybe - a couple of hundred strings? _Why_ is ODBO so cr^p? ODBO is not that bad... The process is reading 216 000 lines, and it reads them twice because I have ...

Re: Where clause in MDX statement
Be wary of reading in passwords to synchronize between servers! The encrypted password string can (and often does) contain unprintable characters which are seen by TI as file terminators which will cause the TI to quit when a file containing such a character is encountered. Thank you ! I don't seem...

It doesn't bring back any elements in fact...
Any ideas?

Sorry I found the answer myself

Re: Where clause in MDX statement
Thank you for your quick answer. It does work and reduces significantly my process duration. Nevetheless, I do not look for group beginning with ABC but having ABC from third to sixth position. that's why I put SELECT CROSSJOIN( {TM1FILTERBYPATTERN( {TM1SUBSETALL( [}Groups] )}, " * ABC*")}...

Hi, I would need your help in writing a "where" clause in a mdx statement. Here is the context. I'm having a process reading data in another TM1 instance through an ODBO source. I'm reading some infomation in a cube called ClientGroups, containing 3 dimensions: }Clients, }Groups and Group ...

Try to play with VMM parameter in the }CubeProperties cube.

In terms of my server crash problem, after a lot of mucking around I tried unchecking the "Use Unicode" check box and low and behold it all came right. So for some reason the Oracle driver was tripping over the unicode. I met exactly the same problem (TM1 9.5.2 64bit Server on Windows 200...

The problem only occured when the view was not saved ...
