Re: SKIPCHECK in inter-cube FEEDER only rule?
Thanks for the feedback all. asutcliffe, there isn't any reason for me to avoid putting skipcheck in: I was just posing the question: - out of interest because I couldn't see the logic one way or the other - because I wanted to eliminate that as a possible reason for some issues I am working through...

SKIPCHECK in inter-cube FEEDER only rule?
Does anyone know the answer to this? I would be grateful for guidance.
In a rule which has no statements other than an inter-cube feeder, is "SKIPCHECK" still required?
Regards, Ian

Re: If You Could ask the TM1 Development Team a Question....
I would say dedicate a full release to UI enhancements/corrections. For example: 1. Fix the copying and pasting behaviour in the Advanced Rules Editor and the TI editor (and doubtless elsewhere) to match the Windows standards. 2. Fix drop-downs (e.g. TI Variable type, Pick Lists and doubtless in oth...

Visio OLAP stencils
Found a great set of free Visio stencils for diagramming cubes & dimensions etc. Go to here: http://www.symcorp.com/tech_expertise_design.html and click "Free ADAPT Visio Stencil" I haven't got round to using them in earnest yet but the shapes look good. You get cube, dimension , attri...

Could someone have accessed the dimension via an .xdi file, illegitimately or accidentally, and overwritten it without your realising?

TI two dimensions into one
Greetings all, Could anyone kindly help please with this: I have a cube containing accounting data, that I wish to pump into another cube. For example: In Cube 1, the value £10 is located at the conjunction of Cost Centre "110" and Expense Code "225" In Cube 2, the same value nee...

Input spreadsheet errors
We have a spreadsheet stored in a TM1 Application folder with an Active Form and lots of DBRW in it. In certain circumstances, opening more than one instance of the same spreadsheet concurrently results in the latterly opened instances having missing data. Sometimes the DBRWs are still there but not...

Excel Data validation bug in 9.5.2?
Has anyone else seen this issue? In an Excel sheet, we have a cell with a TM1 DBRW formula and also an Excel custom Data Validation which points to a list on another worksheet. In TM1 9.5.1 this scenario works fine; in TM1 9.5.2 it returns "TM1 Error". We reproduced this repeatedly so it i...

Or, you could use WordPad if you want to be able to actually see the text and punctuation (such as the comma that looks like a period, but isn't or vice versa) on a high resolution screen because the code, in its unchangeable and small font, is reduced to microdots. Heartily agree. It is also frustr...

Re: Memory bloat issue
Thanks to all who took the trouble to post a reply. Whilst never solving the original problem, I worked around it as follows: 1. In the Proglog code, unload the }ElementAttributes cube using CubeUnload() 2. In the Data code, populate the attributes: TM1 then automatically loads the }ElementAttribute...

Memory bloat issue
I have a weird issue with some memory doubling itself each time a TI process is run. The process builds a dimension with 15,000 elements and 4 attributes. The Dimension attributes are created each time: ATTRDELETE('BI_LabBk_JobNo','BkType'); ATTRINSERT('BI_LabBk_JobNo','','BkType','S'); ATTRDELETE('...

Why duplicate elements
One thing has puzzled me since we got TM1. When creating a dimension hierarchy, why should elements be created at the N level as well as being created as children of their parent? See below for example. Does this not result in the unnecessary duplication of dimension elements? Am I missing something...

The one thing we all want here is the ability to colour a cell e.g. red when negative, within the cube viewer. So, conditional formatting please a la Excel?

Is TM1 concurrent licensing honour-based?
Hello fellow TM1-ers. I have two questions, any answers to which would be highly appreciated (what else can I say to justify asking for free information? I love you all! - no wait, that sounds even worse...): 1. When the number of people logged on equals the number of your licensed concurrent users ...

Re: Citrix/Terminal Services
You may find this information useful. Our busiest user found the TM1 9.4.1 client too slow to work remotely over a VPN, so he used TM1 over Citrix and found this very acceptable. However, the 9.5.1 client seems to work much faster than 9.4.1, making this a feasible option without using Citrix. Not s...

Re: Creating TM1 Objects in C# and ASP.NET
I am just now getting in to the TM1 .NET API and would deeply appreciate any tutorials Brandon or anyone else is generous enough to post here. Actually quivering with anticipation at the possibilities of the (TM1 API + .NET + MDX) package.
