Try right clicking on the application folder in Server Explorer and using the Add File option to upload the original .xlsm file.
It was the only way I could get TM1 to handle .xlsm files properly.

Re: Blue screening 64 bit server....
We have a client that has been running 32bit 9.0 and 9.1 successfully in 64 bit Windows for quite some time. Server is as follows: Windows Server 2003 Enterprise X64 Edition Service Pack 2 Intel Xeon 5160 @ 3.00 Ghz It's IBM hardware rather than HP and isn't the R2 release, but otherwise it seems br...

They are here...
Just spotted a post in the Jobs section about a Tech Support role at IBM by someone calling themselves Applix_mc... Tech Support, initials could be MC. I cannot imagine who it might be ;) Seriously though, it's nice to know that at least one person from one of the olap software vendors is aware of t...

Re: TM1 and Vista
In my experience Vista is much much slower than XP on the same hardware, even on a pretty high specced PC with a decent graphics card is just feels sluggish. Couple that with the fact that MS added so many security features you have to turn most of them off to make the thing useable - talk about sel...

Re: Automatic security
If something did create the rule, it's a pretty scary one.
Everyone gets Write access? Not really what you want when the rabid compliance auditors descend.
We have had issues with rules in control cubes under 9.1 SP3 - I think there was a thread about it in the 'other place'.

ELISANC Worksheet Function
A quick and dirty example of how it can be done, more a proof of concept than anything else. But... Maybe somebody will find it useful ;) Returns a TRUE or FALSE as opposed to the super user friendly 1 or O of the equivalent rules function, could be enhanced in numerous ways and even re-written usin...

Re: 9.1 SP3 Load and Process Issues
According to the "What's New in Applix 9.1" document (it's a hyperlink from within the 9.1SP3 release notes) Enhanced Locking Mechanism 1. Encapsulation of locking processes to enhance predictability and stability during concurrent write activity. 2. More granular Object-Level Write Locks ...

Re: 9.1 SP3 Load and Process Issues
Hi Jim Has a MaximumCubeLoadThreads parameter appeared in your TM1S.CFG file? This is new functionality to speed up server start times by multi-threading the load processes and feeder evaluation (no more looking at a quad processor box ticking along at a mere 25%). However, there are a couple of thi...
