Re: TM1 WEB dimension elemnts not display after dimension Update
If you have }ElementSecurity_cube populated by Rules, you need to include SecurityRefresh command in the TI process that Updates the Dimensions ( usually in the Epilog Tab of the process )

Experienced TM1 Consultant available for new Projects
Hi,
I am an experienced TM1 Consultant, and I am looking for new projects in the TM1 space, ideally remote clients. I am currently in Toronto and I have been working for more than 8 years with TM1
Thanks

Re: TM1Web Websheet not showing data for newly created elements
I have also experienced this issue, and i could not find a solution. In my case this happens only when there are more than 1 active forms in the websheet. In my opinion this is a bug but i did not spend much time with it since in my case i was able to change the design on my websheet. Probably someo...

Re: Active Form Optimization question
Thank you, i know i cannot compare cubeviews with active forms, but i was hoping there should be something i can do to improve performance. The reason why i mentioned the cube view is fast is because it loads fast and also there is no delay while scrolling up and down. And the websheet is slow while...

Re: Active Form Optimization question
There is some good pointers in below link: http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5605 Thanks Thank you BariAbdul, I had already seen that thread but unless TM1 10.2.2 has changed, I really don't see any improvement. The Active form returns around 1000 rows, the same View in cube views ope...

Active Form Optimization question
Hi, I am starting to build some User Interfaces for TM1Web 10.2.2 ( with active forms ), and they are slow. I have a TM1RPTVIEW formula and also nested RPTROW formulas. My question is more related to TM1RPTVIEW formula. Assuming that the cube has 9 dimensions, out of them, 4 are used for filtering (...

TM1 Websheets and Approval Hierarchy
Hi, We have a TM1 Planning and Forecasting model and we used Websheets and Active forms with lots of Action buttons to move data between cubes, and it is working well. We use 2 dimensions ( Service and Region ) to control the security ( with both, ElementSecurity and CellSecurity depending on the cu...

Re: Cell Security in TM1
Thank you Steve,
This is what I'm trying to do, but since it will be maintained from end users in an Excel Spreadsheet, I'm affraid that they will go crazy and enter too many intersections in the spreadsheet. What is you experience with Cell Security and Performance impact?
Ardian

Re: Cell Security in TM1
Thanks Tom, By analizing the data (and the existing security structure), I currently have to create 121 Groups if I create a group for each secured intersection, and I have 238 entries in }Clients dimension, so creating one group for each user is not the best option. But still creating 121 Groups in...

Re: Cell Security in TM1
Thank you. We have more than 200 users and creating a group for each user will not be efficient, the combination of Region/Service gives us smaller number of Groups since we have lot's of users who will have access for "All Services" or "All Regions" and this reduces the number o...

Re: Cell Security in TM1
Thanks Tom,
What I meant is any example of how you can avoid a group for each intersection when you want to make possible granting users access only to specific intersections:)
COmbining 2 dimensions into one is not an option for us
Anyway thank you very much

Re: Cell Security in TM1
To give you some more insight, we are planning to maintain the Users/Groups outside of TM1, in an Excel Spreadsheet and then load the Security Matrix Spreadsheet into TM1 through TI, so the TM1 Security GUI is not an issue for us. I would like to know some more details on how we can avoid the creati...

Cell Security in TM1
Does anybody have any experience with CellSecurity implementation in TM1? We currently use ElementSecurity in our model. We have 2 dimensions (Region and Service) where we have implemented ElementSecurity so our users have been granted access to 1 or more Regions and to 1 or more Services, therefore...

Re: Parent Unique Error in TM1 Executive Viewer
Hi Lotsaram, The strange thing is that the error happens eventhough no metadata changes or security changes happen. We do not make any metadata changes during the day. I have built a VBScript that runs the ForcePreload command for all the Cubes, and we run this after every metadata change that happe...

Parent Unique Error in TM1 Executive Viewer
Hi Everybody, Has anybody experienced an EV Error when using a TM1 Datasource? Re: The Listed Dimension Order in Rules
Thank you qml,
I was hoping that re-ordering my elements would help because I'm dealing with Performance Issues in Rules and I'm trying to find ways to improve the performance.
Anyways, thanks a lot

The Listed Dimension Order in Rules
Hi, I have a question regarding the performance impact of Dimension Order in the Rules. The question is not related with the Order the Dimensions should be in the Cube, but with the Order you list elements from different dimensions in a Rule. TM1 Does not complain if in a psecific Rule Statement, th...

Re: Best Practice to implement "Variance" Calculations in TM
Thank you for your quick answer. lotsaram: Can you please explain how would you implement the Variance % as Consolidation? Do you mean only define the Varance % as a consolidation of Variance$ and then Use the C: Rules to calculate the value of Varance %? Or is there any way to have TM1 calculate th...

Best Practice to implement "Variance" Calculations in TM1
