Re: Replication

Just posting this for interest of others that may be considering replication - for my current project we originally decided to host centrally and deploy via Citrix; A large factor in our decision was that we were on a concurrent user model and we would have needed to purchase separate server license...

9.5 - TM1 Contributor - Approval Heirarchy

Have installed 9.5 on our test server including "TM1 Contributor"; There were a couple of additional steps for Contributor which needed to be performed manually, but the installation guide's quite clear and the deployment process via Apache Tomcat was pretty easy. First sticking point I've...

Re: 11-108922781 - TM1 9.4 MR1 TI Memory Leakage

I got a reply which was basically;

"Well, you'll need to upgrade to 64bit, won't you?"

Nice

Re: Why TM1

If you're in the process of evaluating TM1 against other tools, I'd highly recommend a look at the Olap Report; http://www.olapreport.com/ The site is subscriber only for most of the content and costs around $3k for single user access (though this is obviously a lot cheaper in the long run than purc...

11-108922781 - TM1 9.4 MR1 TI Memory Leakage

I've just been doing some testing in preparation for a potential upgrade from 9.0 SP3 to 9.4 MR1 (32bit running on WS 2003) We update TM1 from numerous datasources via TI - approach used is to execute one process including SQL which then writes data out to ascii file. Subsequent processes update dim...

Re: Exporting Cubes/Views

I seem to recall an issue where rules calculated values that weren't being properly fed, were missing from an asciioutput?

Re: Exporting Cubes/Views

Is there data missing in the file you've exported, or data missing in what you've reloaded - may be that you have lines of data with duplicated element combinations - if so, you need to make sure that you have the 'Accumulate Values' option ticked in the TI process you're using to load the data back...

Re: Balance Sheet and PL problem

There's a much easier solution than rules - in Dimension Editor, right click on the '1000' element and under Element Properties, change the element weighting to -1

Re: Client response issues with Citrix

Ajay - what's the significance of the 'TCP/IP' vs 'TCP/IP + Http' setting?

My current client has the same setup as described above - haven't seen any issues so far, but would like to know as much as possible in the event that a problem arises!

Re: The grand plan

Looks like a great piece of work to me Martin, and like Alan suggested I'd be very happy to contribute a small amount every year to the running costs.

Now how to get people to ditch the old forum and start using this one?
