Thanks guys.
I guessed so. Just want to confirm this is the correct behavior. (Confusing though, when having a mix of formatting and using rules)

Re: Event Handler to detect change of data?
Hmm..
seems to me there would be 2 viable solutions, or rather workarounds:
1. Have a staging cube, and have the user to trigger a TI process to submit the values to another cube, where the TI would be able to capure UserID.
2. Simply use the transaction logs.

Bug with Dates in TM1
Hi all, When I use DayNo function to convert a date (e.g. YYYY-MM-DD) to a number to store in a measure. When formatting the measure to view the date in the cube viewer (DD-MM-YYYY), I do not get back the same date. This is not consistent or coherent at all. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?...

Event Handler to detect change of data?
Hi all, Is there a concept of Event Handlers in TM1, where it is possible to detect a change in value of a cell and run some rules/processes? For example, when a user updates a cell value, i want to update the "Status" measure to "pending approval", and update the "Last Upda...

Re: Schedule Chore to run based on dates in a 'table'
Hi Jeroen,
Can a windows batch file call a TM1 Chore?
How do I do that?
Just want to consider all options.
Thanks.

Re: Filter by a measure
Hi, Would you be able to explain more on how to use and where to apply the MDX? Thanks. What i mean is that the user views the data, either in a cube view on the web, or excel attachment on the web, and would like to apply a filter to filter the values that is displayed, by selecting some option or ...

Filter by a measure
Hi all, In TM1, am i able to filter by a measure? For example, i have a "string" measure, with "Status" values such as "Approved" and "Pending Approval". And i want to filter the cube to show only records that are "Approved". Another example, I have ...

Re: How to create a Date Dimension with hierarchy?
Hi Alan, Thanks alot for your advise. I think i understand how TM1 dimension works now. I worked on SAP BW before (but new to TM1), and i know that their dimension support the 'date' datatype, and so allows for a true date hierarchy, which can roll up to period, year, etc. But for TM1, it seems then...

Schedule Chore to run based on dates in a 'table'
Hi all, How do I run a Chore (TI processes) every period, following the company's accounting calendar? I might have a 'table' (in the form of a dimension or cube), which stores the dates which we want the chore to run. For example, i have a table (dimension, cube, etc) with the schedule: 02-01-2011 ...

How to create a Date Dimension with hierarchy?
Hi, How do i create a date dimension that rolls up to Accounting Period and then Year? I believe i need to store the dates as a number instead of string, so that i will be able to do date comparision, etc. If i have source data coming in as: 2011, 2011_P01, 2011-01-01 2011, 2011_P01, 2011-01-02 2011...

Re: Which view for End-Users?
Hi, What I mean by view, is the various means/channel by which a user can view and analyse the data in the TM1 cubes. I believe that the most basic way would be for a user to view the data directly via a cube view created in TM1 Architect/Perspective. But there are also other ways of viewing this sa...

Which view for End-Users?
Hi, I am new to TM1 and understand that there are many views in TM1. Which views are typically rolled out for users to use, and what are their pros and cons? - TM1 Architect (Perspective) - TM1 Web (cube view) - TM1 Web (Excel attachment) - Excel with TM1 add-on (i.e. Thick-Client) - TM1 Contributor...
