Re: Error installing TM1 9.5.2 with Excel 2010

Excel 2010 64 or 32 bit? TM1 will only work with Excel 2010 32 bit.

Using Independent Certificates

Our company requires that we use our own certificates in TM1 and all my attempts to get it running fails. I have been following the instructions in the attached document and still I am not able to get the tm1admsd.exe to start. The tm1admsrv log keeps returning the error below. 3936 INFO 2011-08-24 ...

Re: ODBC Connection for Oracle is not Working

I am also having the same issue but on Oracle R12. I added the additional parameter in the tm1s.cfg file and everytime I click on the variable tab, I get the blank error message and it crashes the service. Is there a known fix?

Thank you.

I think this is similar to what we experienced a few months back. Please refer to http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3202

Re: Navigation of ALL Websheets have broken

We had a similar issue before and it is related to the Excel Service security. Changed the login id used in the TM1 Excel Service from the Service Account to the Local Service Account and the websheets worked.

Re: 9.5.1 TM1Web Issue

Resolved the issue in our DEV environment with the help of IBM. Applied HF 13 and added "PersistSecurityFilteringOfDynamicSubsets=T" paramater to TM1.cfg and restarted the TM1 Server.

9.5.1 TM1Web Issue

We are on TM1 9.5.1 HF 8 and have been experiencing “Operation Failed” problems when non-TM1 admins attempt to modify certain public cube views by moving dimensions or selecting elements in a subset. However, this is a non-issue for the same users when they access the same view using Server Expl...

Re: tm1 can load in excel 2010

Paul,

To be sure, I re-tested in our environment and the snapshot and slice functionality from TM1 Web 9.5.1 HF 8 to Excel 2010 works.

Re: tm1 can load in excel 2010

Paul, I tested slicing and taking snapshots from a 9.5.1 HF 8 production web and server to a client using 9.5.1 HF 12 using Excel 2010 in a Windows 7 environment and both worked. I also tested 9.5.1 HF 12 web and server to a 9.5.1 HF 12 and it also worked. However, although the active forms exported...

Re: tm1 can load in excel 2010

We are running on Windows 7 and Office 2010 and we have successfully deployed 9.5.1 to our pilot group. I Installed the client by "Running as Administrator" and everything works.

Re: Replication Question

Alan, Steve and Tomok Based on your feedbacks and what I have actually observed (missing data in the Target cubes), I decided not to go with Replication to transfer data between TM1 Servers. My users tend to assume that TM1 is “always correct” and have a tendency not to validate system generated...

Re: Replication Question

Alan, Thank you for clarifying that specific question. I implemented replication between 2 TM1 application servers that reside in the same physical box and I noticed some issues. I thought I may have violated a TM1 replication rule mentioned in the TM1 Operations Guide which states “Remote servers...

Re: Can't save an .xdi

Were the changes reflected in the dimension but the xdi file did not save? Or did both the dimension change not work and the xdi not save? Possible check areas: 1) When saving the dimension worksheet, was the correct server selected? 2) In Server Explorer -> File -> Options, does the Data Directory ...

Re: Excel Crash

Perspectives, on the other hand, is a pair of Excel add-ins (tm1p.xla and tm1.xla) along with, admittedly, some libraries. However you can't run it without the Excel front end because you'd have nothing to call the aforementioned libraries. (Short of using the API to create your own interface, but ...

Re: Excel Crash

I am confused because we also experience the same scenario in our shop. However, the way I rationalize the event is that Perspectives is loaded as an Excel Add in and therefore Excel needs to be running for perspectives to run. If excel is not needed then user should use Architect. Am I missing some...

Re: FIFO Allocation

I was able to resolve this issue by using both RULEs and TI. Rules were used to calculate balances and the TI performs the FIFO allocation based on the Rule calculated balances thereby avoiding the circular reference issue. However, I was almost certain that this particular scenario could be done us...
