Re: Impact of feeders on RAM

Worst case there is no mapping and you have to resort to feeding the top consolidation in the missing dimension(s), this makes the target cube dense and can literally cripple a model with rule saves of multiple hours and long calc times when users access cubes. Typically not something you want to d...

The account that is used to logon in to the Excel Services (windows service) has permits to execute it? did you check using the local system account to start the windows service to che...

Re: TM1 crashes using Citrix

Hey, I don´t know about 2007, but we had similar issues with excel 2003 and the problem was different excel service packs on the client and on the citrix server. Install the latest excel updates.. This appeared just because you moved to 9.5.2? ---Edit: some users had tm1 access over citrix, some oth...

Windows Service: Excel Services

Hello guys, We are testing TM1 Web to add value on our TM1 project, we used on the Excel Services the domain account that we use to start and use our TM1 server Windows Service and we notice that Excels are never converted into websheets (it last years and do nothing), we changed the service logon t...

Re: Feeder statement at the source cube is crashing the serv

hello,

what is a lookup cube?

you really need real time on a 80,000 dimension element cube? maybe something with TI can work faster and avoid longer waiting times in saving rules or crashing events.

Regards,

Re: Spreading Technique or Function

you want to spread region data, maybe is a way using TI, but if you use a rule? on a premises cube you have the total number of liftings and on the target cube a % measure and a output measure, having ['Output']=N:DB('premises','Total Liftings',.. other dims..)*DB('target cube',!region,...other dims...

Re: XenApp - TM1

We use citrix server, connecting tm1 perspectives via publishing the Excel add-in, and in four months it has worked well and fast for users in other countries. Connecting plain Perspectives to other countries had slow time responses and users get a bit desperate. We have a local file server which is...

Re: 9.4 MR1 - memory leakage issue?

Ken The advice I got from Cognos, was to start with MaximumCubeLoadThreads = 1, and gradually increase this. Now we have 8 CPU on two quad cores using MaximumCubeLoadThreads = 7, I found that 800 MB are on garbage and 700 MB are used (Making 1.5 GB on perfmon cubes server total) our start time is a...

Re: executecommand() with batch files

A little late, but we solved it, mainly permissions issues on my TM1 Service account (access to log on the server). Now copying files from different servers works quite well. This function is pretty useful, we prefered to use variables instead of batch files so we can add parameters. Thanks for the ...

The problem is that we dont see the command window.. is so fast in messaging "successful".. (permits issue??)

We tried this on the server and on clients.

executecommand() with batch files

Hello, We developed a TI process to trigger a .bat that copies files from one network path to the TM1 Server. It always displays a succesful msg box, but it never do anything, we suspect is a permissions problem, but we are not sure, because we can execute the file and it works. Is there a way to se...
