Re: TM1 User Locks

What is the purpose of the views and subsets ? Used in the process to copy data and so a zero out, or views that will be used later in by the user ? If the latter, views and subsets need to be permanent. If the former, indeed, you should use temporary objects.

Re: TM1 cleaning up

Elements can also be used in reports or Action buttons, even though there are no data posted against them. So I would propose to also go through the/some reports.

Re: Drill Through to ORACLE ODBC

Try to use the Prolog tab and concatenate the query string there.

What AsciiOutput statements did you try and what was the outcome for each of the statements ?

Re: Drill Through to ORACLE ODBC

Please post the real TI code. What you post cannot be real TI code since it would contain syntax errors.
Also, 'CHC Consolidation Ledger' is not the same as 'Consolidation Ledger'
Use the AsciiOutput function to check your code.

Re: Drill Through to ORACLE ODBC

Try:

Code: Select all

vSQL = Expand( 'Select * from xxchc.xxgl_acc_analysis_det_tbl where Period_Name = ''%sTime%''' );
or:

Code: Select all

vSQL = 'Select * from xxchc.xxgl_acc_analysis_det_tbl where Period_Name = ''' | sTime | '''';

Re: TM1 Cube -> Export as text data in a TI

Indeed, use Bedrock if you don't want to have to roll your own processes, or if there could be an issue with your processes. In case you don't want to use all Bedrock processes and only the ones that are / could be called from the master process, then have a look here: https://www.tm1forum.com/viewt...

Visualization of cubes and dimensions

Hello all, If you want to present cubes and their dimensions into a FreeMind visualization, the below TI process code can easily generate the *.mm file. An example of such visualization is as follows: 01.png 02.png TECH_TI to FreeMind.pro Another example of processes: see https://www.tm1forum.com/vi...

Re: Writing a Single Dynamic TI process to load data from multiple files

If you set the data source in the Prolog tab, TM1 will overwrite at run-time the settings that you used at design time.

Re: TM1 report bursting

Hi Wim, Whichever account you are running the Excel VBA as needs to have it's profile set up correctly. You need to log in as this user (on the server, or whichever box you are running it from) and make sure the TM1 Add-In is loaded. You will also need to make sure there are no pop-ups for this use...

Re: Looping in a Daily Dim

Normally, you would set the counter in the loop to the initial value (1 here) before the WHILE statement.

Consider also using a cube view as the data source of the process, instead of looping 3 times. This can be very inefficient (not necessarily so but oftentimes it is).

Yes. If it’s not there, you should create it. There are examples in the documentation, for example.

Hi there

Logging is set, and we do a SaveData every 5 minutes

Regards
Chris
Hmmm, every 5 minutes. Isn't that window rather short ?

Re: Monitoring User Logins

Did you do a Savedata, in order to get a timestamped text file (in the logging directory) containing the data changes since the last savedata or server restart ?

Re: Bedrock 4.0.1 released

I created a PDF output, based on FreeMind, of the Bedrock TI processes calling themselves with ExecuteProcess.
This is based on the a download of the processes on January 15, 2020 ==> February 8, 2020 (hence, updated content). If you want the FreeMind file drop me a line.

Good luck.

Re: RunProcess explanation

Have you looked in the log file and determined how many of the multi-threaded processes are finishing after the main process finishes? Indeed. Even though the main process stops, the "RunProcess processes" can still be running and finish somewhat later. I've had the same case when copying over lowe...

So, I use the following and it hasn't caused any issues for me....not that I have noticed any :) Have a master process, that you can from TM1RunTi, or anything else, and then "daisy chain" from it, so below the process called "Master_Process" calls each of the others, which complete before advancin...

I had a something like this in my code:

Code: Select all

SUBST( sMDX, 1, 100)
That's why I only get the first 100 characters..

Thanks !
Even with that tiny font size 8 or so in TM1 Architect you could have spotted that one faster
