Re: Days360 Tm1

An attribute could be a solution and not too bad, but the Dimix function gives you the index number of an element in a dimension.
So if the elements are added in the correct sequence and they remain like that, a simple difference of 2 DIMIX'es is sufficient.

Re: Loading MTD data as YTD data

I understand that you are using the wizard but without the wizard I mean: CellIncrementN( Value, 'cube name', 'element reference 1', 'element reference 2', 'element reference 3', ..., P_Month, 'element reference 4', 'element reference 5', measure ); This code goes into the Data tab of the process. I...

Re: Loading MTD data as YTD data

Thanks. Example: loading April data. 1. Zero out April. 2. Write an additional process that copies Jan, Feb, Mar into Apr but negatively (i.e. reverse the sign). A zero out is not needed, you already did that. Call this helper process with ExecuteProcess in the Prolog tab of your main process. 3. Lo...

Re: Loading MTD data as YTD data

Not entirely sure I follow, but you would have to do a CellIncrementN into the P_Month month to add up values.
However, to avoid rules, I would advise to load data month by month, and use consolidations / rollups to calculate the YTD values.

Re: Days360 Tm1

Should i start the difference between feb 1 2016 and dec 31 2021. Yes. You could make use of a simple dimension containing concatenated years and months as n-level elements. If you make sure that the elements are all in chronological order then a simple "DIMIX( dim, last month ) - DIMIX( dim, first...

Re: TM1 report bursting

Good question, thanks. Personally, I never wrote a line of Java coding, so that's enough for your answer ;-) Seriously though, with an online tutorial I might give it a go but finding it out all by myself will cost too much time and effort I'm afraid. If you know of good to the ploint and complete r...

pegarciadotcom, While it is most probably not the answer you had hoped for, I just wanted to come back to this and say that I appreciate your positive reply. You wouldn't have been the first who starts shouting and writing down nonsensical things, just because they didn't get what they wanted to have.

Hello, You started another topic which is very similar to this one: https://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14610&p=72267#p72267 You received good feedback but then you did not close the topic or continue with it. What is the status of the topic ? It might give you pointers to solve this topic ...

Re: TM1 SAP Connector on 10.2.2 and PAX

Hello

What is the data source to the process ? If ODBC then you can use a strategy like yours. Just replace the hard coded bits with parameters and you should be fine. Or use for example ‘?pCompany?’ to have the value of pCompany at runtime in your query.

Re: Parallel data loads and TM1runTI, Hustle

In addition, can someone compare the different options we have for parallel loading (TM1runTI.exe, Hustle.exe, RushTI.exe, scheduling chores, ...) with the new RunProcess Turbo Integrator function ? This could be a useful alternative, given that no other software is needed and the only change that i...

Re: TM1 SAP Connector on 10.2.2 and PAX

Hello, Can you define drill-through ? Right-click on a cell in TM1 and having an extract from SAP in front of you on screen, matching the selections you made ? I have not done that in the past. If there's a relational database in the middle, it would be possible for sure. You can read it in the opti...

Re: Storing a user session details in tm1

I guess you might be looking for a solution like PAW, whereby a book contains several sheets.
The synchronization can be organised such that changing an element in 1 sheet changes all references in all sheets in the book to match the initial change.

Formulas=>Name Manager
Side remark. I don't use too many shortcuts in Excel but those that I use include F3:

- Ctrl-F3 = Name Manager
- F3 in a formula or conditional formatting or elsewhere brings up a dialog screen with the defined names. Useful to pick the one you need.

Can I use "Updateable"? but it returns "Updateable": 258 ??

?Cells($select=Ordinal, Value,RuleDerived,Updateable)
What happens when you test it on both a cell that is updatable and one that isn’t ? Do you get a different result ?

Re: Moving to new server

Hi

You can open TI processes as text files in a text editor. The have a '*.pro' extension.
So whatever works for you to find/replace in bulk the folders is fine.
After that, restart TM1 to take effect.

Re: Storing a user session details in tm1

The usual way of working is jumping from 1 workbook (websheet) to another by using SUBNM formulas, that are populated as the user jumps to the target workbook. Like that, the workbooks do not need to reference each other in a dynamic way, just at the time of opening the target worbook, the selection...
