Re: Diffculty connecting to TM1 Mobile Contributor
Thanks for the suggestions and sorry for the delay in getting back. Here's a summary of the updated situation: *Web server is recognized by the iPad app (i.e. I don't get a timeout error when accessing) *When I supply the login/pwd credentials I get an immediate "Error: The credentials provided...

Sorry, I should have also mentioned that we've installed fixpack 1, and that I've updated the app on the iPad to the latest version.

Diffculty connecting to TM1 Mobile Contributor
Have entered the host in the format: web_server_name.domain_name.com. The server port is entered as 9510, which is correct for our configuration. When I try to logon on my ipad, I'm taken to the "login" dialog but the "User Name" and "Password" fields are frozen-- no en...

Possible to disable TM1 web session time-outs?
Users are getting random session time-outs when using Contributor, often immediately when they click open the detail page of their organization. Currently troubleshooting parameter settings, but wanted to ask-- Is there a way to completely disable session time-outs? I haven't see a way yet in the do...

9.5.2 action buttons ok in Excel, won't work in web
Action buttons work fine in Excel 2007 but in TM1 web appear as grey rectangles having no text and completely unresponsive to the mouse. I did this test: I created a new Excel file having only an action button in it. The action button is configured to "calculate/rebuild only" and "aut...

Re: Can't save edits to a TI process
One correction: the process will execute before I make edits. Once I make edits and have (unsuccessfully) tried to save changes, I get no response when I click the execute button.

Can't save edits to a TI process
I want to make changes to a TI process, but when I click "save" there is no response and no changes are saved (when I exit the process then come back it is the same as before). When I select "save as" there is no response. I have already tried restarting the server, and this has ...

Hyperlink from within an Active Form?
I've built an active form containing a list of products. I'd like one of the columns to contain a hyperlink to a vendor's website. So, I inserted a column in the active form having the Excel "hyperlink" formula. It references two columns (which will be hidden from the user), containing the...

Re: Contributor TI scripts overwriting security (URGENT!)
I just have to vent a bit as an addendum to the prior post. Why on earth would a vanilla implementation of TM1 Contributor include functionality which overwrites settings in }ClientsGroups? I can understand the overwriting to }CellSecurity_}tp_application_permission}{[tp_application code]}, and can ...

Contributor TI scripts overwriting security (URGENT!)
When users perform certain actions, "submit" being one of them", the value at the intersection of }Clients and }Groups in }ClientGroups is deleted. For the user, this means that the organization he/she was just editing is no longer visible as an option in the main Contributor screen. ...

TM1 Web Error: "Cannot locate the active book"
Hi, Created an active form in excel, copied as "public" to TM1 9.5.2 application folder. TM1 portlet in Cognos 8.4.1 displays Excel perfectly, but when I try to change a dimension using SUBNM formula, I get this error message. Found an IBM technote addressing this specific error: "Sol...

Could someone tell me how to move the cubes/dimensions/rules/etc I developed in Cognos Express to TM1?
An import utility? Or do I have to copy objects manually from one directory to another?

DB function with derived dimension based on an attribute
I have two cubes, one with 6 dimensions and the other with 7 dimensions. 6 dimensions are in common between the two cubes. I want to bring values from the smaller cube into the larger. The 7th dimension needs to be assigned the value of an attribute in one of the 6 common dimensions. My feeder in th...
