Re: Dynamic subsets in Performance Modeler
I just tried it out for myself, the only difference is that my expression consist of a filter based on the value in another cube. My view appears empty in PM, tm1server.log says: TM1.Mdx.Interface Syntax error at or near:... The Java error thrown by PM when I changed the subset to a default static t...

Re: Dynamic subsets in Performance Modeler
hi did you try setting UseLocalCopiesforPublicDynamicSubsets to F? We had some problems with dynamic subsets in 10.1 and setting this to F resolved our issues. But to tell the truth, we expereinced those bugs in Architect too. Maybe it's worth giving a try. After changing the config file and rebooti...

Re: Unable to Access TM1 Web
I am not sure I understand it well but if you use XP or Win2003 Server as your TM1 server, there is a user called ASP.NET and it has to have access to the file. Also the User has Read and Execute access for ASP.NET
If it has, I do not have any other idea, sorry

Re: Unable to Access TM1 Web
I think the ASP.NET user has to have read and read&execute rights for machine.config on your server machine. Or in Win2008, the user is NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE.

Re: Picklist dynamic
Hi
You can do it by creating a Pick List Control Cube. Then you can write a rule for this control cube as for any other cube to control the content of your pick list. (see also in Developer Guide - 'Develop Pick Lists with Control Cubes')

Re: Closing 9.5.2 cube view crashes excel client
It seems that McAfee's on-access virus scanning is responsible in our case.
We let the scanner skip the folders 'C:\Documents and Settings\userprofile\Application Data\Applix\TM1\' on client machines and since then no crashes.

You can try to restart the IIS after modifying the web.config file. Then restart the browser and log in again.

You can also try this thread:

There is a bug with Oracle 11g ODBC driver described in the Cognos Express documentation.
I am not sure this helps you and we are using Oracle 10g so I also did not try it but you can give it a try.

Hi Neeta
You can do it by TI processes, see for example here:

Re: Closing 9.5.2 cube view crashes excel client
Yes, we also experienced this; Xcelerator Client (TM1 9.5.1 HF9) crashes on window close - sometimes TI process window, sometimes subset editor, sometimes cube viewer. And as you wrote: 'It can happen on any cube, and is of course intermittent, making the cause harder to define.' For us, it happens ...

Re: Cognos Express Consumer User Licence Setup
So your impression is the a Consumer licence can't use the Xcelerator Client? Have you read that somewhere? I have read it in your post :) A Consumer is allowed to: (i) use the Cognos Connection to run reports (ii) again, use the portal + export content + use any portlet (including TM1 Viewer portl...

Re: Excel ODBC drivers in 64 bit Tm1 9.5.2 Server
Hi I think there is 64-bit ODBC driver for Excel, you can download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=13255 What we did to make it work (Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, TM1 9.5.1 64-bit, Excel 2007 32-bit on the server): 1. Uninstall Excel 2007 (the ...

Re: Cognos Express Consumer User Licence Setup
Hi James We are using Consumer licenses in CX 9.5. 'including use of all of the portlet types provided with Cognos Connection' As much as I understand this is the part that enables Consumers to get read-only access to Xcelerator objects. You can use Xcelerator through TM1 portlets only (or maybe the...

Hi You can also find the ID in IBM Cognos Configuration: 1. Start C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Cognos Express\bin\cogconfigw.exe (if using Cognos Express) 2. Go to Security / Authentication 3. Click on Cognos Express and you will get the ID, which is, as Martin said, CognosExpress. p.s. About replicat...

Re: CX Support for Excel 2010.?
Hi
For Xcelerator Client, it should be included in the next major release, maybe H1 2012, but not this year.
We have just raised an enhancement request at IBM Support about this.
