Re: Overfeeding memory consumption and performance
Hi, I think the second case, when feeding the same cell from more than one place will cause you a calculation overhead mainly when you recalculate the feeders - for example with a CubeProcessFeeders or a server restart after deleteing .feeder files. In these cases, also some memory may remain in the...

Re: Cognos Connection and BI Runtime installation
Hi Harry, This sounds interesting: I had earlier installed TM1 10.1.1 and by default, Cognos Connection is installed I do not think that the TM1 10.1.1 installer includes BI components. Don't you mix it up with the TM1 application portal? I just installed 10.1.1 a few days ago and no BI components w...

Re: TI process locking cube from reading
if you are running metadata updates I was wondering which of the following events fall into this category as they are quite commonly used in the Prolog tab even if you do not manipulate dimension structures; I have never had the patience to test it one by one: SubsetDestroy, SubsetCreate, SubsetCre...

Re: Chore Commit
Hi, I also think that TIs are commited only at the end of the chore. The data that you change in the first TI is visible from within the chore for the remaining TIs but is invisible for others outside of the chore. If you are on 10.1, you can set single commit mode for the chore which means each TI ...

Re: Cannot add Client or Group
Try to set AllowImportCAMClients to F in your tm1p.ini file If you use Server Explorer with security mode 1 then this error is most probably because the config parameter above is set to T, trying to import clients and groups from the BI environment. For further details, you can do a search for Allow...

Re: Set the number of column and row displayed by Contributo
HI This depends on a couple of factors when we talk about cube views (not websheets for now): - network speed, - browser rendering speed, - calculation time on server side (amount of data, rules, etc.) - your understanding on what is "sub-optimal" :) As much as I know there is no upper lim...

Hi
If you search this forum for 'Asymmetric views', you can find a few threads that cover this topic. However, Tomok is right about that this is the expected behaviour of standard views in TM1.

Re: Cognos Express 10.1 CXMD in a different drive
Hi James,
you are right, the built-in backup tool in CX looks to the default data directory only when creating backups and so if you move it you have to build your own process for TM1 data directory backups and schedule if necessary.

Re: Loading multiple files into a cube
Hi or to have 1 single TI process, and let the user trigger the input (eg load the file 1 by 1) Yes, this is a possible solution, in this case the user has to run the TI 13 times. Or, you can write a simple 'master' TI that calls your original TI using ExecuteProcess 13 times with the file name, cou...

Or alternatively, use PublishView:For the views, set their security to Admin for the cube only

Re: STET rule behaviour
Hi The title if your post is misleading as the issue you're bringing up is nothing to do with STET I would argue with this because of the differences in 3a and 3b. If I remove the rule from the second line (3a), then data comes back as I expected. For example, if I have only one line of rule, ['Unit...

I'm sorry, I first saw this on 9.5.2 and then I reproduced it on 10.1
I tried adding RulesOverwriteCellsOnLoad=F on 10.1 now but still no luck.

STET rule behaviour
Hi I would gladly hear your views about the following behaviour of the STET rule. I could also simply reproduce it in the GO_NEW_STORES sample by creating CubeA and CubeB as 2-dim cubes from Month and PriceandCost. Rules in CubeA: ['Jan' , 'Unit cost'] = N:STET; ['Unit cost'] = N: DB(CubeB, !Month ,...

Re: What CE license do you need to be a TM1 Admin?
Hi
Response to your original question: I think Xcelerator User or Complete User roles can be set as Admins (a big advantage of CE that no need for additional Modeler-type licenses). I am not quite sure about the Planner User but I would presume the same.

Re: Feeder Issue
Hi
If the cells you try to copy are rule derived but not fed, they will considered as zeroes when the view extract is calculated, so you will have to write the feeders.

Re: Websheet paging and hidden lines
Hi
Thanks a lot for this. I was a bit afraid of that as it is clearly reproducable - when I hide the rows it does not work, when I unhide them, it works. Redesigning at least 20 out of the 50 websheets seems to be a bit painful for me.
Thanks again

Websheet paging and hidden lines
Hi We are using Action Buttons for running TIs and a few SUBNM, and DBR for title elements. sometimes one DBR formula is referenced by a hidden cell, then another non-hidden DBR cell references this hidden one. So, all these objects are referencing from and to hidden cells. For example, user selects...
