That can be the case when you are stuck in batch update mode, for example a TI that you run switches it on on the Prolog but then aborts without switching it off on the epilogRestarting Architect solves the issue.

Re: PAX - Does it have rules tracer?
It is available now, you can use a cube viewer in PAX, and you can trace rules there; also in PAW

Re: Planning Analytics 2 - Can Pax & Perspectives Co-exist?
I haven't tried it for a while, definitely not in the PA world, but if I remember well, in 10.2.2 we could load CAFE and Perspectives at the same time to Excel, the limitation is that in CAFE you cannot use the add-in that enables the worksheet functions because worksheet functions can be enabled on...

Re: Tm1 cube as a Package in BI
maybe the server that hosts BI also has (or had but was incorrectly uninstalled) TM1 installed and so the API install goes by default to the existing location?

Re: Feeding a C Level Calculation
Quite easy to test though, I am also not 100% sure that if all N: items have a 0 value under a C:, but at least one of them are fed, then the C: won't be suppressed when using 0 suppressionI'm not 100% sure but I think you have to have a non-zero value under the C

Re: Feeding a C Level Calculation
I think you will still need to feed at least one N: component of the C: item, even if none of the components will hold values

Re: Wrong namespace while connecting with CAFE
maybe you have to change the BI URL, as described here? http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21674395 3 - Select the com.ibm.ba.pm.resource.security.dictionary settings and set CAMGatewayURL to point to the Cognos BI Server gateway and CAMBIURL to point to the Cognos BI Server dispatcher...

http://tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=10561&p=49881&hilit=cellincrementN#p49881 Last time I tried CellIncrement did not work, but the old method did, which is surprising I think in some general TIs like archiving a rule-intensive dynamic scenario to a static scenario - batch update i...

Re: BatchUpdateStart and BatchUpdateFinishWait in master process
BatchUpdate more or less went the way of the dinosaurs when Parallel Interaction was introduced. Correct me if I'm wrong but it could be still useful in a TI that loads data within a cube where the source view has lot of rule calc'd cells...at least as long as the new feature of invalidating only a...

Re: Data encryption at rest with PA local v 2.0.3
hi
what I heard back from IBM is that data encryption at rest is not available by any tool that IBM provides
FIPSOperationMode is related to the current SSL/TLS configuration, so it is not related anyhow to data encryption at rest

Data encryption at rest with PA local v 2.0.3
Hi, According to these links, data encryption at rest is now supported in PA local. http://info.tricoresolutions.com/blog/performance-improvements-with-tm1-planning-analytics http://octanesolutions.com.au/products/ibm-planning-analytics/ Did anybody try it? Or at least can someone point me in the ri...

Re: Private Views in Contributer
Contributor (or a.k.a. or rebranded to TM1 Application Web) only supports public views and subsets. This is not 100% true, only 99% :) If you change the default views by reorganizing the layout, and close down the Contributorwindow, in the background the last state of the view is saved as a private...

Re: Changing data via a graph in PAw?
Hi Steve, Thanks for answer! moving a graph was just a nice to have, and existing in C. Insight for example (if I remember well) just as a side note I asked, in general, what should have I seen in PAw, which should have made me think I cannot live without it I think a well-usable subset editor would...

Just tested, it is not possible;
btw, is this really the new flagship product? If someone knows, can tell me maybe where should I have said wooowww during my tests?
Other than hierarchies as objects....maybe listening to music on youtube?
Thanks!

Changing data via a graph in PAw?
Hi For those who are already using PAw: is there a feature where you can move the graph with the mouse and the data in the crosstab are changing? So I don't want to enter a number to a crosstab and then see the impact on the diagram, but the way around. I think Cognos Insight is/was capable of doing...

Re: Perspectives workbooks when promoted to different version
Has anybody else had issues moving perspective workbooks onto a new version. yes, we had a few issues with workbooks when we upgraded from 10.2.2 to 10.3. For example some of the action buttons did not work on TM1 Web, but we could not find a pattern which ones; simply nothing happened when a user ...
