Re: Anyone using TM1Web 10.2 yet?
It was mentioned in another post, but you can upgrade the server components and use the 10.1 .NET web. IBM released some notes that this is supported (google is failing me at the moment). This should allow you to leverage the Multi Threaded Queries and other enhancements while not getting the Java ...

Re: Anyone using TM1Web 10.2 yet?
Thanks for the responses - especially about the caching, I'll raise with IBM as well.
I have come across some other bugs, so yes - very much a version 1 product which is a shame as some of the other features in 10.2 make this upgrade almost indispensible for us.

Anyone using TM1Web 10.2 yet?
I've found that it can be much slower than 10.1, particularly when scrolling around large spreadsheets - the scrolling seems to gum up for seconds at a time.
Anyone else found this?

Dynamic Websheet Hyperlinks
Hello, I am using TM1 10.1 creating a TM1 Application Web application which uses websheets to display information. We would like to link through from a websheet to a Cognos report - this can be achieved by simply inserting the hyperlink in Excel. However, the reports are prompted and all the prompt ...

TM1 Websheet security
Hello, I'm trying to restrict websheets to certain users only. Currently I can see that you can only allocate 'None' or 'Read' only to the Cognos\Everyone group, all other security groups are greyed out. This looks like it should be controlled by a cube - and I can see the }ApplicationEntries dimens...

Thanks very much guys, I wasn't even aware that such a function existed - could be extremely useful in the future.

Ordering a dimension using Aliases
Hello, We would like to order a dimension (not a Subset) by Hierarchy using Aliases rather than element names (the element names have to be codes whereas everyone needs to see the English name of the code). We need the dimension ordered as users often navigate through various levels, expanding conso...

Re: UK TM1 User Group
Looks good - it's a fantastic pub on nice days.
Frequency - Every 2-months or Quarterly?
Day of week - Thursday could be good?
It would be well worth talking to the wellington/sydney groups to find out what works well for them. Also could consider getting recruiters/ibm invited.
Cheers,
Alex

Re: UK TM1 User Group
I'd also be very interested - would be great to share war stories and ideas. Anywhere near Bank tube would be great (good connections to the City, Canary Wharf, Central line, Waterloo etc.) What about the Crosse Keys? http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-crosse-keys Any particular days that ...

Re: Consolidation of n-level (leaf) elements
You want B to show D + E and C to show E + F but you want A to be D + E + F ? Is that right? Paulsimon - Your summary above is correct, and it is an interesting use case. We are classifying items and wish to record measures against them. However the classification of the items is fuzzy, such that D...

Re: Consolidation of n-level (leaf) elements
Is the problem that each leaf item must contribute only once to the top level, regardless of there being potentially multiple parentage paths between it and the top? Exactly. This is where an element could exist under multiple parents, but ultimately be counted only once at levels above. As you say...

Consolidation of n-level (leaf) elements
Hello, I was just wondering whether there is an easy way of consolidating only n-level elements within a hierarchy. I.e. a Member at the top level (e.g. level 4) should consolidate only the leaves at level 0 (because of rules or other issues [e.g. multiple parenting] at the intermediate consolidatio...

Re: Enterprise Timesheets in TM1
We have been using TM1 for project timesheets for 12 years. Works very well, record hours worked, billed by project\consultant on a daily basis. Excellent both for operational reports, billing and management information. Data capture either direct or via spreadsheet template. The architecture does ...

Enterprise Timesheets in TM1
Hello, My company is currently considering options for project-based timesheets. Given the capabilities of TM1 and TM1 Contributor, I was wondering whether a developing a timesheet application that leveraged our existing TM1 investment was feasible/desirable. Has anybody got any experience of develo...
