Hi All,
TM1 has the ad-hoc roll-up functionality, which is supper useful to sum elements that do not have a pre-defined consolidation. Is there a way to do something similar though MDX where for one of the dimensions I pass a subset and get the sum of all elements in that subset.
Thanks

Re: Filter rows based on cell value
The below example assumes that you have an attribute against each department (in the department dim) with a friendly name... this was due to me taking the logic from something I did that was a little different to you as in my case the equivalent of departments had a "code" and then friend...

Re: Filter rows based on cell value
Note - I can always introduce the department dimension in my employee roster cube and use zero suppression to solve this but am trying to keep the employee roster cube flat. Then why not have a virtual rule driven helper cube that pulls its values via rule from the roster cube and use the helper cu...

Filter rows based on cell value
Hello All, I have a employee roster cube (flat cube with just the list of employees and measures) and one of the measures is department. I also have a department hierarchy in a dimension. The roster stores the leaf level department values in a measure. I am trying to write a MDX that filters the lis...

Perspectives performance for international users
Hi, Our international users (outside of local company network) experience very bad performance when they access Perspectives. Currently, we ask them to use remote desktop to access the tool but going forward they do not want to do that since it's not a very seamless experience. Has anyone experience...

Consolidations and eliminations in TM1
Hi, We use TM1 for our P&L planning and reporting of actuals. I have recently received a request from accounting to build a TM1 model that can do consolidations and eliminations. Is TM1 a good tool to do that and are other companies using TM1 for this purpose? Our IBM partner is suggesting IBM c...

Automating saving of rights file for application web
Hi, We have an application on the application web for which our approval hierarchy changes frequently and when that happens we want to trigger the saving of the rights file automatically. There is no need to add additional rights through the interface since we just have one right defined at the top ...

Importing Access Manager Groups in TM1
As a part of our TM1 setup we use Access manager security and have to manually import those groups in TM1. I wanted to see if anyone has bright ideas to import those groups in TM1 using some kind of a TI process etc?
