MDX Filtering on Multiple Dimensions
A couple of general questions here about MDX and TM1 ... 1) Is it possible to filter on multiple dimensions in TM1? Here's an example for the sake of clarity: * Cube Products has three dimensions: Color, Size, Price. * In a cube view, Color and Size are to the left (rows) and price is on top (column...

Re: Active Forms breaks with =IF() logic in referenced cell
Two interesting findings on this already: 1. I put the sheet on TM1 Web to see if it had the same behavior. It did, but I noticed that a cell wasn't evaluating in TM1 Web that was evaluating in Excel. It turns out it was an external reference. I fixed that, but it's only producing the expected resul...

Active Forms breaks with =IF() logic in referenced cell
Hello all. I'm finding that an IF() formula residing in the referenced cell of a DBRW() is causing AF to produce zeros. Using a hard value or even a non-IF() formula appears to work. The IF() breaks it though. For example, I have a finLocation dimension with a child of "10001" and a parent...

Re: Success with replication
This is all really solid input, guys. I appreciate it. Verdict: replication doesn't sound like something I want to tangle with right now. Besides, the problem I'm having - locking - may best be remedied with a solution like mattgoff suggested. We actually did that (a no-frills, no-rules staging cube...

Success with replication
I've been poking around the topics here and found several that comment on replication - nothing specific to what I want though. The comments seem mixed to me. I'm trying to do something in particular (not exotic), so I thought I'd see if anyone has created a similar scheme/architecture/version to wh...

Rollback or View Changes by Contributor?
Another Contributor question. I'm full of them lately. I'm not a Cognos BI customer, this is TM1 only. Having gotten Contributor hobbling along, I do like that it has some true workflow characteristics. One thing I was hoping to see is rollback or change audit detail. For example, if Ms. Budget Subm...

Re: Contributor overwriting security - okay, but ...
Follow-up on this: I've spoken with IBM about this issue - children not able to have multiple parents in approval hierarchy/dimension - as well as another pesky issue I'm dealing with. The official response on the first issue is that Contributor doesn't support multiple hierarchies in the approval d...

Re: Contributor overwriting security - okay, but ...
Thanks for the tip. I'll check that out. Something else I was considering is cloning my cost center dimension and ruling the element security cube for the clone to support system groups. Meanwhile, the real cost center dimension could be manhandled by Contributor freely. The downside is maintenance ...

Contributor overwriting security - okay, but ...
I've been tangling with Contributor and I feel like I'm missing something. Part of my security model is based on cost center, so I have some rules in }ElementSecurity_CostCenter which help keep my clients & groups straight. For the same reason that I chose to base overall system security on cost...

Re: Does TM1 support 'Renewals' modelling
TM1 can do pretty much any kind of modeling. You just have to get at least two people together: the person that really knows their business and someone that really knows TM1. Between the two, some pretty cool custom designs can be implemented in very short order. Good luck.

Re: Creating Blank Rows For Calculation - Active Forms
Thanks for the comments. I figured that's what I was dealing with ... wasn't sure if anyone had thought up a workaround. It seems like a useful feature to me, just in case any IBM TM1 developers are listening in.

Creating Blank Rows For Calculation - Active Forms
Hi. I browsed through a number of threads on OF before launching this thread and found some pretty good tips on other topics, but this one is still a mystery. Apologies if it has already been addressed ... I have a need to generate blank rows beneath n-level rows in an active forms area. I'd like to...
