Great, thanks for your answers!
We are going to upgrade from v9.0 to v9.5 soon, so I guess this "problem" will be automatically solved...
Thanks Alan for putting pressure on Applix/Cognos/IBM!

Avoid displaying subset messages
Hello,
Do you know if there's a way to avoid showing these messages to the user?
- "You have requested the display of a dimension/subset which contains elements to which you do not have read access privileges..."
- "This subset has been created using an expression..."
Thanks

Re: SUMIF function in Rules?
Hello Christopher, Attributes are not a good solution for me because I want to archive (through another dimension) the status of my events during time. That's why I didn't choose to place the events directly below the consolidations "Mature" / "Not Mature", as the maturity level ...

Re: SUMIF function in Rules?
Nice workaround, thank you guys!
I may encounter some issues as there are 3 different cost data entry (for 3 currencies, modelized with 3 measures), but this was just the help I needed to make me think "out of the box".

SUMIF function in Rules?
Dear all, Do you know if there's an equivalent in TM1 rules of the Excel SUMIF function? Doesn't seem to be in the documentation but maybe it's not complete / you have a way to do this another way. Here's what I'd like to achieve: in my "Events" dimension, the user will have the possibilit...

TM1 Official Demo
Dear all, I've been a TM1 user/developer for a few years now, even if we're a bit late on the software update (client still in 9.0). As my company is currently assessing other solutions such as SAP BPC, I was having a look the other day at the demos available on the different websites (IBM, SAP, Ora...

Re: TM1 vs. SAP BPC
Hello, I would like to know if some additional opinions can be brought to this subject since the last post? Indeed, my company currently uses TM1 and wants to create a few mock-ups on SAP BPC to see how similar things can be managed. Thanks for your feedback, I shall provide you mine once this proje...

Re: TM1 9.4 - Multiple CPUs and Server Lock questions
Thank you for your answers guys. I'll submit the idea of export to a flat file then load it for TI processes, but I think that even then, the whole server is locked. By the way, I know there are TI functions called "LockOn" and "LockOff" but it seems there are not compatible with...

TM1 9.4 - Multiple CPUs and Server Lock questions
Hello everybody, We're currently running a system with Windows Server 2003 and TM1 9.0 SP3. I'm not sure about the number of CPUs on the server because I'm not on the technical side of the project, but I'm pretty sure we have at least 2 CPUs. My question is, I heard that 9.4 is able to use different...

Re: Server crash due to subset corruption
Thanks again Jim for your feedback. We only have one server at our disposal, but I'll be pushing my colleagues and direction so that we get another machine to perform these tests... Logging is already implemented for all our cubes, we didn't analyse it, but I doubt that we'll be able to find anythin...

Re: Server crash due to subset corruption
Hello Jim, Thanks for the quick answer. The problem is that it's not a particular subset that create this problem, but random subsets! They can be either dynamic or static, until now they weren't measure dimensions, but that's the whole point of the problem: there's no way for us to identify how the...

Generate a flat view in the beginning of a TI process
Here is a little TI code I often use to generate a flat view on a cube. I base my TI on the "Default" view, so that I can declare correctly my variables. Then I use this bit of TI code to regenerate the source view, as needed. I also sometimes use it to call the ViewZeroOut function instea...

Server crash due to subset corruption
Dear all, We're experiencing a very annoying issue with our TM1 server, so I'd like to know if you've ever encountered the same problem... Our server is v9.0 SP3, and is running under Windows Server 2003. It is rebooted every night, as recommended by the former Applix team. However, for no particula...
