TM1 Wet End Rebuild?? ;D
Just for laughs...Anyone guess what a TM1 Wet End Rebuild is .... https://www.tissueworldmagazine.com/latest-headlines/kuban-papir-boosts-production-with-tm1-wet-end-rebuild/ Has anyone clicked on anything more strange thinking there is a very small chance it has to do with the TM1 we all know and l...

PAW - Docker Upgrade - Windows 2016
Hi All. Would like to ask if anyone has upgraded the Docker version on WIndows 2016 after installing PAW. We are having issues with some server monitoring tool called Splunk which appears to be breaking the PAW Containers upon startup and the only way to get them to work at the moment is to restart ...

Planning Analytics Developer - University of Liverpool
Hi All, A role for a PA Developer has just gone live to work alongside me at the University of Liverpool. WFH should be default option, however on campus presence will be required on a few occasions a month once restrictions ease (travel to campus will not be paid for) Drop me a message if you wish ...

Re: PAW Installation unresponsive
Just in case anyone comes across this. Even though docker showed the containers as running, pretty confident they were not as we could not even get the PIDS for them and there was no sign of any relevant memory being used in the host system. None of the stop, remove commands were working against the...

Re: PAW Installation unresponsive
HI Declan, You mentioned checking the paw script but did you run it with any commands? Does running ./scripts/paw.ps1 -stop work or does that hang as well? If it works I would suggest doing a -stop and then a -start to just do a restart. I ran it on its own and it just printed "Mongo" on t...

PAW Installation unresponsive
Hi We installed PAW (2.0.45.912.3) a few months ago on separate WIN2016 server (Just for PAW, but also has ILMT/BIgFix installed on it and has SOPHOS as dictated by our Network people). It was working fine after installation and tbh honest we haven't used it since, but been looking into rolling our ...

Re: Performance on Applications/Contributor on PAL 2.0.8
Thanks tiago. I have managed to speed it up considerably, it turned out to be more of an underlying model issue, particularly around the use of a rule driven string cube which we use for mapping purposes. The issue around submission still exists, but not sure if it is expected behaviour. User 1 take...

Sharing a Sandbox
Hi, I have been getting users asking for a while now ( a few years to be honest) if they can share their sandbox with another user, and my answer has always been "computer says no, commit the data, then roll the data back if need be" Anyway, I have done it in the background as a test by go...

Re: AD Usernames in server log
Thanks gtonkin, I already have that log file turned on, and do the parsing of the file much like yourself into a cube so that I can track active users. However with AD turned on, the file only shows the hashed version of the AD Username, its not a problem for users who are already in the system as t...

Re: APAR PI78234 10.2.2 FP6 Processes not running correctly on Contributor
As an update on this. IBM have identified this as a bug and are looking into it. Sent over our data directory this morning. First time officially dealing with IBM on a bug so not sure how long the process would take. It appears that the first process works fine, but from the second process onwards i...

APAR PI78234 - 10.2.2 FP6 Processes not running correctly on Contributor
Hi all. Wondered if anyone has come across this issue. Using Contributor/TM1 Applications (what is the definitive term these days?) User irrespective of security rights selects a nodal department and enters a Websheet. Updates a value on the Websheet and clicks on an action button which passes param...

VM Host change - Virtual Server - VMWare
Hi All, Cant find anything on the forum about this, though there might have been as am sure its something some of the experts would be doing on a regular basis. I am shortly planning an upgrade to 10.2.2 FP6. My Dev environment is on a VM Farm and I have set up the installation exactly how we would ...

Re: Copy of TM1 objects getting $ added
Usually when the TM1 instance performs a save data and objects needs to be saved it creates the $ version of the files and once the process has completed successfully it will overwrite the actual file itself (i.e. without the $ in the name and the $ file will no longer exists). Depending on the time...

Re: PR to DR synchronization of Data
I am assuming you do not need an almost Real Time sync and you would be content with possibly a nightly or a 4 hourly sync. I would suggest a 3rd possibly more simple option of just executing a script to copy your TM1 data folders over from one server to the next, once you have done the appropriate ...

Re: SSL breaks on Nov 24
I patched up a CX 9.5 today. All components are working, Xcelerator as well as Web (.NET based). I believe your setup is a CX 10.1 as 10.2.2 is based on TM1 Enterprise image and no longer using CX manager etc. Manual steps for 10.1 should be the same as 9.5 as both TM1Web are .NET based. I suspect ...
