Re: Design Advice
Thanks, "Undefined Parent" is exactly what I was thinking to use to solve this, but 5 cubes are planned to be build where this change needs to be done (between 900 and 200 elements max and min) how I can be sure the user will do it right, some elements have negative weights or have two par...

Re: Attribute Trouble with rules
The process that mattgoff told me about ruleloadfromfile works. I run the process and data is working well. I guess i need to schedule it. For Gregor, The feeder applies to all the scenarios, [local]=>[usd] going a !scenario for each usd scenario. I tested many times this. What I figure about your q...

Attribute Trouble with rules
Hello, I made a rule that creates an attribute Month and Year that also changes the alias for exchange rate factors. This Month and Year combination goes and finds different exchange rates for my cubes, so the user only has to select what fx scenario he wants. Example: ---This Month--- Scenario 1 = ...

Re: Security Cube
Thanks Lotsaram. What I meant is that with that rule, every other cell that doesnt have a WRITE status is READ. The solution works great but Memory seems to be a concern. Even when I thought and test it, I felt is was too simple. You meant that Cell Security, specially in this case when I want to le...

Re: Security Cube
Unless you have a small cube you should always use Skipcheck. If you dont use it in a large cube it may bring down the server since number of feeder flags generated = n level elements in dim1 * n level elements in dim2 * etc can be more than grains of sand in the observable universe etc etc Strange...

Re: TM1 9.5 Contributor Break-back
breakback like "Cognos Planning" is different in TM1, you can´t dataspread a value in cells that have a rule. What you can do is use Relative Proportional Spread (the most powerful data spread function) to copy values into a new versions and play in scenarios with proportions.

Re: Is TM1 9.5x stable?
We decided to go three months ago with 9.4 MR1 FP3 because it had many corrections to problems we were finding and 9.5 didnt had any FP at that moment. I feel the best you can do is invest some time with your model in testing 9.5.1, I don´t feel is unstable at all, with the tests I made but we are ...
