Re: HELP: ASCIIOUTPUT issues

Thanks again so much for your help! For the benefit of the forum, here is the code I used. (I chose 'none' as the data source, and just had the following code in the Prolog tab)(I've changed a couple of things to make it anonymous but hopefully it will make sense still). I know it's a hack, but the ...

Re: HELP: ASCIIOUTPUT issues

Hi Alan, Thanks so much for the information. I'm very new to TM1 and don't have any experts around me. I only have one Dimension, and it's only at leaf level. (It's a really silly, totally unsuitable way of collecting relational data from business users through Perspectives - don't ask!) So my cube ...

Re: HELP: ASCIIOUTPUT issues

Hi Harry, Did you get this to work? If so, could you please post the code? I'm trying to do the same thing, except simpler, because I just want to export 1 dimension, and all the measures associated. (It's a very simple cube that shouldn't really be a cube!). Wim, can you possibly help out? Thanks

Using Dates And Times In TM1

Hi there, Sorry if I'm missing something, but I'm having a problem with a string cell in TM1, where if a user types '01/07/2010', the immediate write-back changes it to 7 January 2010'. I'm not sure which setting I should fiddle with, as I'm pretty sure the server would be set to Australian format, ...

Write TM1 data into database table using MDX

Hi, I want to use Turbo Integrator to write TM1 cube data into a single database table. I have defined a view which looks the way I want it to, but when I do an asciioutput function to see what it will look like in a csv, I'm not getting the right output. I have one true dimension (Team), and then I...

Re: Help! - Manual hierarchy maintenance

I know! It's very silly! But we're simply going to export out the 'parents' to import into a proper relational database that will do the aggregations. The users just want a friendly tool to deal with if/when they decide parents change.

Thanks again.

Re: Help! Submitting manual relational data

Thanks Martin and Alan! I couldn't agree more about TM1 not being suited to this kind of thing. It's actually very silly that they want to use this tool, but I am a consultant and I can't talk them out of it (politics, hey?). The even sillier thing is, no one in this organisation has ever used TM1! ...

Re: Help! - Manual hierarchy maintenance

Thanks Martin but the users don't want to use Architect - they want a 'friendly' tool like Perspectives. I actually just figured it out. (I'm VERY new to TM1!). I just created one dimension (the lowest level of the hierarchy) and a 'String'-type measure for each level of the hierarchy, that the user...

Help! Submitting manual relational data

Hi there, My users want to use TM1 to upload rows of data - not multi-dimensional, but just rows of relational data, essentially with the purpose of 'flagging' certain rows 'Y/N' so that a different data warehouse can read these rows and then calculate differently for the rows with 'Y'. Essentially ...

Help! - Manual hierarchy maintenance

Hi there, My users want to use TM1 (presumably Perspectives or TM1 Web?) to manually update a hierarchy when it changes (i.e. when a child moves to a different parent). More importantly, though, they may need to create new children/parents. Does anyone have ideas on how this could be achieved? Essen...
