Re: TM1 Blueprints
From what I hear you may have to anyway. Take a look at this thread ; the link that BIHints provided are still active. What you want may or may not be there. Alan, thanks for the reply. Yes, I had found that thread and checked the links there. However, there was only a PDF for the Capital Expenditu...

TM1 Blueprints
Hey old-timers! Any of you still have a copy of the old blueprints for TM1. The Analytics Zone currently has only the Enterprise Planning blueprint for the fixed assets blueprint. I can't seem to find the TM1 version of that blueprint. Anyone have any sources / links? Thanks!

Cube Dependencies Added with No Manual Intervention
We are seeing INFO level messages in our log which show cube dependencies being added. However, no processes were run and all of the chores are turned off. What could be triggering these cube dependencies to be added? It's a mystery wrapped in a conundrum. Here are the log entries. You will note the...

Re: Change the CAMID to original Id
One thing I have noticed is that if you add the user id's manually (inside TM1 security, add the client manually), the "display" version appears accurately. However, if the user id does not exist when the user first logs in, the CAMID appears. Personally, I think this is a bug. IBM has si...

Re: Change the CAMID to original Id
Lotsaram and others .... I'm currently dealing with the issue of CAMID's and Contributor at a client. One thing I have noticed is that if you add the user id's manually (inside TM1 security, add the client manually), the "display" version appears accurately. However, if the user id does no...

Re: Invalid Real Number Issues
Soooo... not so much a case of "A piece of code that has been working for months is all of a sudden broken", more "We changed the code and now it's broken". A somewhat relevant piece of information seems to have been omitted from the original question. It did work for many weeks...

Re: Invalid Real Number Issues
All ... an update to this issue. After initially reporting this as a bug, IBM development has now responded with a different answer, which actually makes a lot of sense. We recently added BatchUpdate in the TI processes. If you have ever used BatchUpdate, you know that the BatchUpdateFinish (or Batc...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
I always make sure that in all my models there are time lookup cubes and that all time offset type attributes have matching forwards and backwards offsets. It is also good to just develop a standard set of lookup cubes to handle time offsets and calculations. Much better than realizing you need som...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
All, Thanks again for the contributions. The following feeders did the trick: ['Revenue'] => DB( IF( ATTRN( 'GRID Fiscal Weeks', !GRID Fiscal Weeks, 'FWK Offset Nbr') = 1, 'GRID Cash Model',''), !GRID Projects, !GRID Agreements, !GRID Activity Center, ATTRS('GRID Fiscal Weeks', !GRID Fiscal Weeks, '...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
Breaking the problem down into its component parts, the following "hard-coded" feeders work: # Projected Revenues ['Revenue', 'FWk 2011-04-03'] => ['Projected Revenue', 'FWk 2011-04-10' ]; ['Projected Revenue', 'FWk 2011-04-10'] => ['Projected Revenue', 'FWk 2011-04-17']; ['Projected Reven...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
lotsaram, Thanks for the feedback (as always). So, the plot thickens. ;) You are correct that we could do all of this work outside of the application and just load the data. However, when we compared the effort to develop these calculations outside of TM1 or even in TI processes as compared to devel...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
the following feeder statements failed to work: # Projected Revenues ['Revenue', {'FY-2011','FY-2012'}] => ['Projected Revenue']; ['Projected Revenue', {'FY-2011','FY-2012'}] => ['Projected Revenue']; Consideration: 'Revenue' is actually a consolidation of other measures. Should I be feeding from th...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
<grammar corrections on 2011-08-23> Tomok, thanks for the response and helping me think through this. 2) there is no need to use IF to determine the future periods because that target is always going to be changing and there is no way to "unfeed". What I mean by this is that if your popula...

Re: FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
Jim and Tomok, Thanks for the responses. Here is a breakdown of what the rule accomplishes: The rule is calculating future revenue projections based on prior revenue actuals and a set of factors. ['Projected Revenue'] = N: ROUNDP( if(ATTRN('GRID Fiscal Weeks', !GRID Fiscal Weeks, 'FWk Offset Nbr') <...

FEEDER Guidance DB Rule with Limited Scope
I'm having a mental block and am looking for help to develop the appropriate feeders for the following rule: ['Projected Revenue'] = N: ROUNDP( if(ATTRN('GRID Fiscal Weeks', !GRID Fiscal Weeks, 'FWk Offset Nbr') <= 1, 0, if(ATTRN('GRID Fiscal Weeks', !GRID Fiscal Weeks, 'FWk Offset Nbr') = 2, DB('GR...
You said that the number is non-zero, but is it possible that the number in the cell is huge and that it could be triggering an error in the version that you're on?
Alan, the number is large -- in the hundreds of millions -- not "huge". This is quite the st...

Re: Invalid Real Number Issues
thanks for the ideas.... The NUMBERTOSTRING function does not require that you take a guess at the size of the number and has been working for many such statements and, in fact, is working in other processes right now. But just to see if it would help uncover the root of the issue, I changed the cod...
