By EV do you mean Executive Viewer? Does version 9.5 exist? I only know Executive Viewer 9.4.0

Re: Error Deploying TM1 Contributor 9.5.1 to Cognos 8.4.1

Best results are obtained if you install Tomcat Apache (ver 6.0), and deploy the war to that. It keeps the jres separate, allows for customized java_home for Apache if needed (though undocumented for IBM's purposes), and does not overload the C8 service. Sorry, but I don't really understand your co...

Error Deploying TM1 Contributor 9.5.1 to Cognos 8.4.1

I'm trying to install TM1 9.5.1 with Cognos 8.4.1 security. The installation of TM1 and Cognos went smoothly. And then I tried to deploy the pmpsvc.war (the TM1 Contributor) to the Cognos 8.4.1 by copying the pmpsvc.war from <TM1 installation path>\Cadmin to <Cognos installation path>\webapps . Afte...

Re: Migrating to TM1 v9.5.1 or TM1 v9.5.2?

This is interesting. Currently I'm using 9.5.0 as well, and just yesterday I tried to upgrade to 9.5.1 and hit some problems. And now I just found out that the 9.5.2 has been released. I'd like to here some thoughts about this too, to which version should I upgrade to? 9.5.1 or 9.5.2? If 9.5.1 is pr...

Mapping Source File to Valid Elements in TM1

I have an Excel file containing data that I want to load in TM1. Position Title is one of the many columns in the Excel. The thing is there's lots of different Position Title in the Excel file (around 2000 or so) and we don't want to maintain all of that in TM1 as elements. So I'm thinking to simpli...

Re: Sort by Group Name in Security Assignment window

I've also tried what tomok said and it seems he's right. Some conclusions that I can get: 1. }CubeSecurity, }DimensionSecurity, and }ElementSecurity_DimensionName control cubes are only created when we do security assignment for each of respective objects. 2. If the control cubes don't exist, the de...

Re: Sort by Group Name in Security Assignment window

I know it can be done from the security cubes, but it only works for element security and not for the cube security (I don't know about dimension security since I never messed it up, but I think it will behave the same way as cube security is). When you grant a group access to a cube using Security ...

Sort by Group Name in Security Assignment window

Does anyone know how to sort the Group Name in Cube / Dimension / Element security assignment window? By default, TM1 order the groups randomly. So having a lot of groups might cause sore eyes since you have to look at the group name one by one. So far I can only sort the Cube or Dimension or Elemen...

Re: What's the feeder for this rule

The edit I made was just because I was not sure about your dimensions and it was early and I was tired! ( When you specify Dec on the left hand side of the rule that means that you will be looking at Dec on the right if you are using the ! reference, but if you have hard coded references you will b...

Re: Defining Dimension Structure

I'd like to elaborate more on this dimension thing. Let's say I have DimA, DimB, and DimC. For one element of DimA, user supposed to be able to input to only one element of DimB, and one element of DimC. In other words, one element of DimA can only be matched to one element of DimB and one element o...

Another question then, are the system requirements for Palo on par with TM1? If I have a 5GB model on TM1, will the same model require 5GB as well on Palo?
I wouldn't mind if someone can provide informations for Keystone too

I'm looking for TM1 alternatives which are free for personal use or educational purposes. From this forum, I can tell that Palo and Keystone are two of them. Another question, has anyone find the maximum column and row before the load time become unacceptable?
I've tried 50 columns x 200 rows, but it started to get a bit laggy

Re: What's the feeder for this rule

Can you repost your rule set as it stands at the moment? OK, I've created a dummy cube called HC. Basically it has the same structure as my original Headcount cube, but I discarded the unnecessary dimensions and elements to simplify things. The dimensions of HC and their elements are: 1. Year: 2010...
