Variable IF statement in a TI Process

Hi Everyone, I have a very simple question. I'm using a TI process to create a hierarchical dimension from an ODBC excel source. I want to create a new variable (to be used as a consolidation/roll-up) with an IF statement based on the values in the Country dimension being Germany or France. So if th...

Re: Moving Data between TM1 Servers

Thanks for your replies lotsaram and David. I come from an EP background and am transitioning to TM1 and just wanted to get an idea of what the different options are for moving data between TM1 servers. Both of you have giving me some welcomed ideas on this which I greatly appreciate. From an EP sta...

Moving Data between TM1 Servers

Hello Everyone, what are the various ways that one can move data between two or more different TM1 models or across TM1 servers? For instance, assume that one TM1 server is a detailed revenue model and another is your overheads model. How would you move these across TM1 servers to roll into a PL mod...

Re: A mapping question

Hi Gregory, thanks for your answer! The reasoning behind the two cubes is this: The initial cube is used to collect and store 'Actual' data. Now, some of these accounts (not all) will go against a specific Type based on how they have been entered in the Actuals database. The user wants the functiona...

A mapping question

Hi Everyone, I have two cubes A and B. Both cubes have the same dimensions. What I'm trying to do is move the data between the cubes where the mapping of one of the dimensions is based on an attribute. For example, both cubes contain a dimension called 'Type'. There is data against the accounts unde...

Re: Formatting Active Forms

Hi Wim,

Thanks for your reply. I need to have the time dimension in columns. For instance, you would have have the months in columns from Jan to Dec and the measures dimension in rows where you would have the two different data types.

Re: Summarizing data

Hi Alan, thanks for the reply. The data is numeric (not string). Your idea is great and I will try it. But just out of curiosity, do you know what the different alternatives are to summarizing data generally in TM1. I'm new to TM1 and am trying to get a handle on it. Thank you!

Summarizing data

Let's say you want to summarize data at product level into product type. You could have a two level product dimension that rolls up into product type. But what if you also need to enter data at the product type level. What would be the best practice in achieving this in TM1? I understand that you co...

Controlling views by approval hierarchy node

Hi Everyone, Does anyone know if it is possible to control which views are used at node level in an approval hierarchy in TM1 Contributor. For instance, view 1 and view 2 are based off of the same cube. View 1 has accounts specific for node 1, and view 2 contains accounts specific for node 2. What I...

Picklist with IF statement question

Hi Everyone, I have created a static picklist by adding an attribute to a string element in a dimension. The string element with the static picklist is called Status. The cube containing the dims is called Flag. I am trying to write a rule in the Flag cube that automatically populates the 'Value' ce...

Sort subset elements by an attribute

Hi Everyone,

I am new to TM1. I have a dimension with 4 levels. I would like to creat a subset using MDX to filter the dimension on the lowest level and then sort it by one of the dimension attributes. I would appreciate any help with the syntax for this.

Thanks!
